I am a former lawyer who pivoted to Education in 2020. Since then, I have worked as a Chief of Staff at an admission consulting firm, as a Head of Operations at a testing/coaching service provider (startup), and as Senior Program Manager (Ops & Analytics) at a renowned non-profit in Early Childhood Education. I lead over 50 people in my current organization and have expanded state operations to cover thousands of parents, children, and childcare workers. I am also an amateur poet/translator volunteering at a regional language publication house/magazine.

I agree with Alex here; you've had a rather lengthy - and nontraditional - path to date, and will be applying from an over-represented part of the applicant pool (India), so this will make having a clear career plan imperative. You will also need to apply in the first round, and perhaps cast a slightly wider net given that your numbers don't necessarily jump off the page in terms of GRE and GPA.

Speaking of numbers, what sort of quantitative background do you have? Was your undergraduate in law? Any exposure to accounting, statistics, calculus, economics, etc.

Another element to consider is how the schools will view your work in admissions consulting / coaching, which could be a bit of a wild card. I'd probably seek to focus mostly on your legal career and current role. Best of luck!
