Hey all! I just finished wrapping up my applications for the schools listed above. I spent the first 4 years of my career working on M&A work, as well as some technology development/implementation at my current company. A bit of a non-traditional background b/c the company I currently work at is a smaller business (not a prestigious well known firm). I've made some really solid impacts at the company in my time there though and enjoyed the experience.
When I graduate I want to transition to a consulting role, ideally with a focus on technology and tech implementation. I've considered using my M&A experience to pivot to larger scale transactions in the private equity space; however, I feel I get more value out of project based work that impacts a business rather than transaction based work. Still a bit up in the air though.
Undergrad was in Econ, with lots of quant heavy course work. (game theory, calculus, econometrics, etc). GRE is lopsided with 366Q and 359V; however my AW score is 5.5. Thought that might be worth mentioning.
Any feedback appreciated. I interviewed at Dartmouth, went well and is my top choice at the moment.
