Notes:

Born and got undergrads in Electrical Engineering from Pakistan, but now a US citizen. Have MS in Computer Science from US with 3.5 GPA. Most of my work experience is international, especially spent a lot of time in Africa. Right now managing a small team. Co-founded two startups but unfortunately had to close after losses. Not planning of going in Executive program because I am now thinking of moving industry and gain connections. Right now working for a Fortune 500 company and managing a small team (5-6 people) in a matrix role but previously has experience managing 15-20 people team. Do you think I have a chance in a good MBA school.

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1676 Honestly, it may be tough. You'll need a good GMAT score, you also need a strong goal focus. Someone with longer length of experience will be e pelted to have developed a solid goal focus, short and long term. You'll also need to demonstrate "fit", and show how you'll engage on campus, re extra curricular s etc. It's not impossible, but you do have some challenges to overcome. (0)

I got 325 last year in GRE with little preparation (I think with couple of months prep I can get 330+ in GRE) and even I completed my MS this year with good grades, while I was working full time. Or you think my best bet is to apply for Executive MBA, but I fear I will not be able to get the full value of an MBA as I will miss on the networking part. (0)

How will the full time mba help you get there, and what do you think makes best sense for your first position, post mba. Sort that out, be clear about it, then apply (Round 1, if possible). (0)
