Eight years of experience is on the longer end, so addressing “why now” will be important, too. Wharton might make sense, too? (0)

I would prefer targeting the first rounds in 2023 (for 2024 intake) - building my profile more (both my independent brand, my clientele, and my EC experience). Unless you think that the age will be a severe obstacle in which case, I .hould target R2 this year? For the "why now", I intend to leverage the various leadership roles (from undergrad till now) to try and arguing that now I have greater leadership exposure, greater client exposure (greater variety of clients) and greater business acumen (would have been running my own business for 2+ years at the time of an admit). Do you think that will fly with adcoms, particularly of the US schools? In your view, which school seems the best fit? Happy to consider any school (incl Wharton) that I haven't considered. alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1676 Sloan round 1 is 2 weeks away, would you have time to put in a strong app for them? To get an early read, this season. Round 1 will be a little more accessible for you. For next season, making the case for “why now” will gain a little more importance, but targeting a few programs this season, in Round 2 May yield positive results, thus not delaying the MBA a year. If you’re not successful, coming back as a reapplicant will be fine in most cases (check INSEAD, they may not be reapp friendly) (0)

adi1726 Likes Earned: 9 Unlikely to make R1 this year. The MBA delay is not as much a factor as the age issue. Completely agree that the answers to "Why MBA and Why Now" questions are critical but assuming those can be addressed, will age be a major obstacle? (1)
