Notes:

I've recently transitioned from working in K-12 education to working in talent at a consulting firm. I'd love to get an MBA to flip from internal to client-facing. In particular, I want to work in human capital consulting/strategic HR.

In addition to being a former teacher, I'm also a mom to an 18-month-old. While I know that being a student and mom may be difficult, I'm ready to take on this challenge to pursue my career goals while being a role model to my daughter.

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1676 The combination of your GMAT and GPA may raise concerns with the very best programs. Might be worth retaking the GMAT, if you’re applying in Round 2? Might also make sense to take MBA Math, or similar?

Your profile and background might play well in admissions, as a former teacher. Your goals make good sense, too. Showing impact and growth over the last 9 years will be important.

Might look at 1-2 more programs from the top 16 tier, in case your unable to mitigate your numbers.

You will have other classmates with young kids, so hopefully it’s a great experience for you both!!
