Notes:

Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, in 2012 I went to the US at the age of 18 to get my bachelor's degree. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Cincinnati, with a GPA of 3.96 and double major in Business Economics and International Business. Before graduating, I also did a semester exchange in Universite Catholique de Louvain, in Belgium.

After that, I came back to Colombia and started working at a mid-tier management consulting firm, where I've been for the past 2 years and 3 months. My experience has been in projects with big banks in Colombia, and in this last year I spent 9 months working on a project for an energy distribution company in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I recently got promoted to Senior Consultant and am now working in a regulation project in the insurance industry, in Medellin (the second biggest city in Colombia).

For some time now I've been thinking about getting an MBA. I was set to apply in this year's cohort, but decided to wait one more year so that I can start in 2021. I want to gain more work experience, particularly with this new role, where I have to show more leadership qualities. Also, I definitely want to improve my GMAT score (710), since the quant section was very low (in the 60%) And, to be honest, I'm aiming high in terms of what universities I want to pursue. I'm currently considering 3-4 M7 schools and maybe adding 2 safety schools, such as Jones at Rice University or Foster at UW.

Any thoughts on whether maybe I should get more work experience first (I would have 4 years if I start in 2021), or if maybe I should consider changing career to a more renowned company? Also, am I right in aiming to M7 schools, or maybe I should aim lower?

PS. I'd love to be featured in the Clear Admit MBA Admission Podcast. I discovered it almost 2 months ago and have probably listened to all the episodes. I actually wish there were more.
