1. Academic Performance (Top 3 in college and school, quant background - engineering from a Top 10 engineering college in India, developed a virtual experimebts tool under Government of India)
2. Work Impact - sold 5+ projects/ proposals exceeding $2MM in value, working at a consultant capacity as an associate consultant (my projects do not have an Indian consultant - Im responsible for the delivery and client engagements)
3. Extra curriculars (Social iniatives such as buidling a house for a fishermen family, sponsoring education of 5+ children, mentoring 50+ college students on corporate acumens and tool, led the college student mentoring club and more)

Weakness
1. Gmat 675 (quant - 83, data insight - 84, verbal - 84)...considering writing an optional essay to cover for lower score in quant covering (engineering background and focus on quant, advanced quantitative expertise: conjoint, segmentation, seconday data analytics, top 1% of engineering entrance exams in India, within 1000 rank for mathematics olympiad, mental mathematics champion at district level competitons, etc.) - please share your thoughts

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1676 GMAT is decent, but do you think it’s your best score? Could you move the quant score up with better preparation, and still apply in Round 1? Applying in round 1 will be important.

What are your post MBA goals? Getting more clarity on your short- and long-term goals will be very important.

arjunkrishna1999 Likes Earned: 0 Thank you for the reply. I would want to focus on my essays and recommendations over the course of the next month to ensure that I have an all rounded application. I was planning to write gmat again right right before round 1 submission (around end of August) but the plan is prioritise rest of the application. For context, I got 2 mistakes out of 21 (11th and 21st question) for quant and ended up with a 81 percentile...I feel like it just depends on your day to improve the quant score while verbal and data insights are relatively more stable. Post MBA goals 1. Short term: MBB Strategy team (currently most of my projects are advanced quantiative projects) in the same industry (pharma). I would prefer a much more dynamic and challenging environment to push my limits and where I can continously learn new industries and verticals 2. Long term: Haven't planned for it but the first thing that comes to mind is a well know company C-suite role (0)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1676 Sounds very reasonable re the GMAT. Don’t think I’d highlight anything in the optional essays. If you can retake, it might help, but don’t delay your apps from Round 1.

Focus the goals in the pharma sector, push for a little more clarity on the long term goal. Might even consider Wharton, if you’ve got the bandwidth, given its strength in healthcare?
