I went to a top university in my country and did my bachelor's in econ with finance. Led multiple student organizations and did an exchange program in one of the UK mid-tier universities based in London. Currently working for one of the largest manufacturing companies in my country as a senior strategy analyst had big projects such as launching franchising and low-cost brand, large M&A projects (did valuation models and participated in negotiations), and HR hiring and retaining current staff strategies. Also led the company's Corporate social responsibilities projects.
Planning to apply this fall and want to work in consulting afterward in Mckinsey or BCG. the scholarship is an important factor for me. Yale is the dream school!

If you gain a high GMAT, I’d think you might target 1-2 M7 programs, too? What are your long term goals? (1)

Really appreciate your advice! yes, currently I have 2 years of work experience (by the time of the matriculation will have 3 years and expect a promotion to manager in the next couple of months) and also have short internships at one of the largest local banks and in the debt management office in Ministry of Finance of my country (responsible organization for managing country debt). Outside of work, I am involved in helping to run a shelter for 1000 homeless dogs (raising funds, optimizing costs, eliminating bottlenecks, and solving significant organizational issues) and also helped opening new large state park; from time to time plant trees in local schools. Form M7, I want to to apply Chicago or Kellogg as well. To be honest HSW seem unreachable from Central Asia (without significant international experience). In the long run, I want to run my own company in central Asia probably in the manufacturing or agriculture industries. What other schools would you suggest to apply? (1)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1677 The GMAT might be key, here. What is your target score, do you think? I’d include Wharton in the mix, at least, assuming a high score. While you may lack international experience, you may bring additional diversity to a program with your experiences. (1)

Likes Earned: 0 Yes, I think Wharton would be a good fit, also a higher tier program, stretching yourself. Yale SOM is a great program, but HSW might be within reach, you’d only know if you apply. (0)
