Applied last year. Got dinged by Top 15, but got through in Kelley, Rice etc. Figured the app wasn't well made. 6+ international experience. Total 9 years. Indian. Automotive background. Working on tech projects. 6 promotions in 9 years. From last year, have done community work, got 1 promotion, got six sigma certification and also refined my goals.

anon20984 Likes Earned: 0 Thanks alex for the comments. I have got interview invite from Kellogg (everyone does and surprisingly the interview lasted 1.5 hours. I think the interview was terrific but who knows), did applicant initiated interview with Tuck (went to US). did not get interview invite from Ross in the latest round. As for darden, i am not exactly optimistic because of my age. Fuqua waiting. What do you think about my college choice? Any suggestions for R2? (0)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1675 You will really need to address the fit issue, as an older candidate. Hopefully for Tuck and Darden, you can show some growth, from your last application. Great gmat! Based on your R1 results, you'll know which direction to head for round 2, up or down. The problem is, round 2 will be more difficult, based on your profile. (0)

anon20984 Likes Earned: 0 I totally agree with your suggestions. I am not sure whether there is any way up from these colleges because they are already pretty much my dream. If I were to select some bottom colleges, then what would your recommendation be regarding college selection, considering age. (0)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1675 I wouldn't go to the bottom! You've basically targeted T16 programs, so I'd look just a little lower. The trouble you will find is, it's harder to break into top consulting firms if you go too much lower. Emory, Tepper, may be a couple to consider. (0)
