Work and school:
Female engineer. Grades could have been better, but a change of major (mechanical engineering to a combo mechanical and electrical engineering with a business minor) and foolish decision to take some of the hardest engineering electives at the same time cause it to dip sophomore and junior year. Had a strong senior year. In work, I have some of the highest sales metrics among my peers, but I have had trouble finding ways to make a significant impact outside of that. Did some recruiting work/helped with the intern program, but those programs have been shifted to another team.
ECs:
Currently, I am the financial adivsor of a local chapter of my sorority. I have a team of 6 collegiate women that I advise. I do agility training with my dog on the weekends.
In college, I was vice president of finance and vice president of standards for my sorority. I eventually won a national award for my service. I also did some work with the governing body of all the sororities at my college.
GMAT:
700 q45 v41. The q45 seems to be a fairly stable score, as I have gotten it on a number of practice tests. I have gotten as high as a v46 on practice tests. I plan to take it again in a few months just to see if I can do a little better.
Future plans:
Would like to stay within the tech industry, but it would be nice to pivot to either management or a more strategic role someday.
