EC's post-grad include volunteering with a nonprofit fundraising chapter devoted to social/economic change in India; I organized an all-female panel discussion on public & maternal health awareness in May 2018 which raised the most money out of any event we did to date, and I took the lead on most marketing efforts for our chapter the year before that (email, social media, web marketing, networking, etc.) My work experience prior to my time in healthcare involved me jumping around quite a bit in the nonprofit sector but thanks to my work experience at my current company, I've realized quickly that I need deeper business/ops/strategy knowledge to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare industry, along with content knowledge. My recs would come from current teammates who rave about my work and I've progressed rapidly with more responsibilities at my current company; my current role involves heavy client-facing and revenue / sales tracking / project management responsibilities as well.
I was a journalism major in college but did not go into the field due to my interest in the nonprofit world previously, which evolved into an interest in healthcare. Will my lack of quant chops hurt my chances? I took a stats class my freshman year of college but that's it.
