Notes:

Currently working at Accenture in Management Consulting for Health Care and Public Service from the Raleigh, NC Office. I've been working here for one year since my separation from the military in 2022.

I served 7.5 years in the United States Army as a Field Artillery Officer. Prior to that I graduated in 2015 from Florida International University with a BA in International Relations (GPA 3.4).

I'm interested in pursuing my MBA to break into the Video Game industry or re-enter the Healthcare Consulting industry at a managerial level.

My GRE scores are less than desirable. I study frequently but am competing against the high demand in my consulting career. Curious what my chances are with these schools and my prior work experience based on my current profile. GRE: 157V 149Q. I may be able to get my verbal to 160 but am doubtful with my Q.

anon35918 Likes Earned: 12 Additionally, I run the Military Employee Resource Group for my Accenture office, I volunteer in Corporate volunteering functions, I do career transition mentorship for Veterans via VETERATI and an Afghan refugee via the TENT program. I will have stellar letters of rec from both my Military time and my current Accenture consulting time. (0)

sunvane Likes Earned: 6 Hey fellow veteran here. Look into Smart with a heart. They just started a self study program that is top notch. They also have Sherpa Prep if you want to do weekly classes. Gregmat is another great resource for quant too! (1)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1677 Is there much evidence of quant work in your undergrad degree? I’d be concerned with the quant score in the GRE, so boosting that, with any additional prep will be important. Perhaps taking MBA Math, or equivalent would also be a smart thing to do. Curious, why the video-game industry? Although, I do recognize it’s a big growth area, etc? (1)

aguer056 Likes Earned: 12 I wouldn't say there was much evidence of quant work in my undergrad degree. My professional in the military had me doing complex mathematical calculations, but none of that math transfers into practical civilian life. My current plan is to study more and attempt to improve my quant score and apply Round 2 to the schools above. However, in the case I do not attain a desirable quant score you recommend I take the MBA Math course to supplement my application? Does my prior work experience not aid in my application as much as I thought it would? Video game industry is just something I feel would be interesting to work in. But, it will either be that industry or the Healthcare/Public Service industry. (0)
