Hi Everyone! American here looking to pivot to entrepreneurship to focus on improving hiring practices for entry level positions.
Education: Top 20 UG business program (full tuition at state school) - concentrated in finance and business analytics. Spent a semester in Spain studying business courses in Spanish. Fluent in Spanish (C1) and proficient in Portuguese (B2). Self taught intermediate coding (SQL, VBA, Python).
Work: Experience: 2 YOE at T2 Consulting firm in Analytics role. Promoted in 1.5 years and targeting second promotion to post-MBA level at end of year. Most experience has been focused on building operations strategy and developing logistics optimization and inventory management capabilities. Highly involved in diversity and analytics recruiting.
EC: Started initiative to offer pro-bono recruiting coaching to minorities. Coached 40+ people across 7 countries - students got several offers, including BCG and Kerotin. Virtually mentored Costa Rican education start-up for four months to triple sponsorship and build first international partnerships.
Goals: Plan is to start a job platform that uses analytics and skill assessments to more fairly screen candidates and to provide feedback to those not selected. Over time, candidates will hopefully learn how to improve and hiring conversion / open positions for young people will increase.
Schools: US climate is wearing on me and my dreams are to run my own international business so targeting European schools.
Applying for Fulbright for IE. Targeting INSEAD, IESE, or HEC Paris. Few questions: Any advice or tips? Curious if I should mention intention to learn Catalan or French if admitted? Do I have a chance of getting scholarship money or is my work experience too limited? Thank you for taking the time to read this and any input provided!
