From Texas, currently living in New Orleans. I'm working at an energy major as an electrical engineer supporting assets in offshore Gulf of Mexico. Studied electrical engineering at a "public ivy" (top 10 engineering school) and graduated with a 3.41. I realize this GPA is on the low end for top schools, but I worked multiple jobs throughout undergrad and my GPA progressively improved each year. Scored a 730 on the GMAT (96th percentile verbal, 60th percentile quant). Quant score came in lower than I had hoped, but I'm thinking that my major and technical work experience can compensate for that. Targeting M7 schools with plans to move into MBB consulting upon graduation. Coming from a technical background in the energy sector, I'm looking to move into more of a strategy role that supports clients in the this industry focusing on the energy transition and sustainability. I'm an active volunteer (gave 80+ hours to habitat for humanity last year) and have extracurriculars and leadership experiences that I believe I can speak to in my application. I'm a 26 year old white male that will matriculate with 4 years of experience.
