I currently live and work in Singapore. Prior to this I have lived in 3 countries across 3 different continents. I moved to Singapore for my Undergraduate studies having received a complete scholarship to pursue a degree in engineering. I have since stayed on in Singapore. I realized after graduation that I was more inclined to work in client facing roles. My first role was in the manufacturing sector at a Singapore based firm (they have now been acquired by an American company). I graduated from a management trainee program, where I worked closely with senior management teams, and was offered a role in Business Development. In this role, I forged multi-million dollar partnerships with clients based in Europe and US. I moved to a US-based company after 2 years as I wanted to make a switch to a more dynamic industry. I currently am involved in the compliance space with FinTechs, Banking institutions and Government regulators. I generate over $2 million in annual revenue and have consistently exceeded all my sales target (having started in 2020). Post MBA, I would like to pivot to a product focused role. Having worked in sales, I have interacted closely with product teams but felt that I had limited opportunity to contribute to changes and development in product. I am passionate about the intersection between product, sales and marketing and as such, am keen on a product marketing role. In the long term, I want to leverage my business development and product experience to take on a corporate strategy role to drive success of a product or business unit (while continuing in the tech industry).
I would love to hear from you on my chances at my preferred schools, and hear from you if you have any suggestions on other schools I can consider applying to.
