Notes:

Hi everyone, looking forward to getting some third-party perspective on my application profile, and hopefully network with candidates with similar career goals. I've been considering applying for my MBA since 2019, and after some candid conversations with mentors (not to mention listening to nearly every episode of Clear Admit) I'm finally ready to take the leap!

I attended a flagship state school and studied Economics and Exercise Science. After graduating I coached DI Football for one year, then joined Teach for America and taught for 3 years, and for the past two years I've worked as a Research Manager for a philanthropy that invests in local non-profits to improve outcomes for low-income students.

Post-MBA I'm looking at two career-paths: Either stay in the philanthropy sector and work to earn a promotion, or pivot into doing finance and operations for a school district. Based on these goals, I'm focusing on schools that offer a dual degree in Education, and long-term I want to stay in the Southeast U.S. (I'm from Alabama).

Extracurriculars: I'm in a Triathlon/Marathon training group, I'm a mentor for secondary students, and I also help recruit and review applications for two education fellowship programs to try and bring more talent to the Southeast!
