Berkeley Haas Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / On-Campus
I went through an interview day at the Haas campus. There was a lunch, campus tour, student panel, and a team building session with fellow candidates who were there, followed by a reception/happy hour. All in all it was about a 7-hour long day including the interview and a great time meeting fellow prospective students as well as current students! The interviewer (second-year student) put me at ease, congratulating me for making it to this stage and said that this is just to have a conversation to get to know me better. Chicago Booth Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
The interview was extremely friendly and conversational. The second-year student was engaged throughout the 60 minutes and was genuinely adding on top of my stories with her own experience at and beyond Booth. I interviewed with an Adcom and had an observer present. The tone of the interview was conversational, mostly resume-based to begin with and a couple of deeper follow-ups on resume as per HBS’s typical interview style. Nothing was very surprising, although there were two questions that made me think a bit more before I responded. Adcom led interview with no observer. It was completely resume based and focused on my current work experience. No questions like why an MBA or why HBS. The interviewer did research before the interview and asked me very pointed questions about my company. The interview was pretty informal, but also like a traditional basic job interview. My interviewer was a current student getting her part-time MBA.
