UPenn Wharton Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / On-Campus

With the COVID-19 impacting interviews across schools, I wasn’t sure if Wharton was going to cancel the on-campus interviews, especially after hearing that the Tokyo sessions were cancelled, but I was able to get to campus and participate in the other events as well. Stanford & Wharton Share the Throne of Best Business School in U.S. News 2021 Rankings

Everyone knows Wharton uses the “Team-Based Discussion” (TBD) format for their interviews, so if you are invited to interview you will be given a prompt with some deliverables that you *should* prepare some thoughts/answers to before arriving. For the TBD–make sure you watch the timer. It’s not nearly as terrifying as you think it is, and it will all be over before you know it. Write down your teammates’ names along with the key points from their proposals, and write down your observers’ names as well. Coronavirus Concerns Disrupt MBA Admissions Interviews, Testing and More

As the number of confirmed coronavirus cases reaches over 80,000 globally, mounting concerns have disrupted normal operations of MBA admissions testing, interviews and events. Entrance Exam Sessions Suspended GMAT, GRE, IELTS, and TOEFL testing in mainland China has been pushed back further to the end of March. Erika H. James will begin her tenure as the newest dean of The Wharton School on July 1, 2020. She is the first woman and person of color to lead the school in its 139-year history. Harvard Reclaims Top Spot in Financial Times 2020 Global MBA Rankings

The Financial Times released their 2020 Global MBA rankings this week. Harvard Business School reclaimed the #1 position—after a four-year absence from the top spot. I had my interview in London, with a member of the Adcom and five other candidates from Europe/Africa/Asia/America. We all got together about half an hour before the interview and got to know ourselves, which gave the tbd a relaxed feel.
