Average GRE scores by business school can provide applicants with a sense of the rigor of the MBA program, expectations of the adcom and general competitiveness of the applicant pool. While the GMAT used to be the only accepted admissions exam at leading MBA programs, many have opened up to other options, including the GRE. Over the past decade, the percentage of women MBA students has been on the rise across leading business schools. USC Marshall was the first leading business school to achieve gender parity while others have achieved or continue to strive for that benchmark. Interviewed on campus with a member of the adcom, and many other students interviewed with second-year students. Interview was conversational, but interviewer did have a list of questions to get through. Very behavioral in nature. I left the interview with positive feelings about SOM. In the past several years, we've seen more and more leading business schools offering deferred enrollment MBA programs. Traditionally, full-time work experience has been a requirement for acceptance into a leading MBA program, with students averaging five years of professional experience at the time they begin their graduate studies. Most deferred enrollment MBA programs still require work experience—the difference is that students can gain this experience after they earn admission. Deferred enrollment MBA programs guarantee college seniors (and sometimes graduate students) a spot in their MBA programs, allowing them to enroll two to five years after they graduate from college. This allows students to focus on their work experience with their MBA plans already in place. New members of the Yale School of Management’s (SOM) MBA Class of 2025 join us for the latest edition of our Real Humans: MBA Students series. 339 students matriculated in the latest class in New Haven, CT. Forty percent are women and half are international passport holders. We are happy to welcome back Bruce DelMonico, Assistant Dean for Admissions at the Yale School of Management, for our MBA Admissions Director Q&A series. Nearly 92 percent of the Yale School of Management’s (SOM) MBA Class of 2023 secured job offers within three months of graduation, according to the latest employment report. Of the 336 graduates, 294 sought employment; 269 were successful in receiving job offers while 261 accepted them. Of those not seeking employment, 16 were company sponsored and 10 started their own businesses. Another six graduates continued their education.
