Chicago Booth Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Zoom
The interviewer set the tone from the beginning that it would be “casual” and not a business interview. We started out with small talk for ~5-10 minutes and he gave background on himself as well as a few of his fondest memories at Booth. -Tell me about yourself. -Follow up questions on my job. -Why MBA? -Would I want to join a startup or a more mature company? -Long-term career role? -Which resources at Booth would you use to help with your career path? -Tell me about a difficult situation. -Questions for me?

Georgetown McDonough Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
Interviewed with an adcom member who isn’t full-time, but just helps with interviews, which meant that she couldn’t really answer my questions about the experience, current culture, DEI, etc., but it was still a good conversation. Very Q&A format, she didn’t respond much to any of my answers. 1) Tell me a little bit about yourself and how you were led to Georgetown. 2) Tell me about your short- and long-term goals. 3) McDonough has a focus on DEI, how will you contribute to the community from a DEI lens? 4) What role do you play in

UCLA Anderson Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Current Student / Zoom
I had a Zoom interview with a current student. The interviewer had a list of questions to go through and did not introduce themselves at all. My interview wasn’t very conversational, but the interviewer became friendlier towards the end after they had gone through their list of questions. So be prepared accordingly – as I ended up a bit nervous which affected the rest of the interview. Questions: 1) Walk me through your resume. 2) Why do you want to join a business school at this stage? 3) Why Anderson? 4) How will you contribute to the

Northwestern Kellogg Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Zoom
Round 2 / Alumnus / Zoom I just had my interview with a Kellogg alum. The experience was fantastic, and he showed genuine interest in learning about my career and motivation to pursue an MBA at Kellogg. He first introduced himself and shared with me his personal experience at Kellogg. He then asked the usual questions: 1. Walk me through your resume, followed by probing questions into academic and career choices. 2. What are my work responsibilities? 3. How would a co-worker describe my best and worst qualities? 4. Tough work experience? 5. Why an MBA?

UCLA Anderson Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom

Tell me about a time you worked with a team of diverse individuals. 7) Tell me about a time you disagreed with a team member? How did you handle that?

Chicago Booth Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumna / Zoom
Interviewer was very nice and talked a bit about her background. She was typing up a storm when I was talking. Apparently, these reports are very extensive. 1. Walk me through your resume. 2. Why MBA? 3. Why Booth? 4. Tell me about a failure. 5. Tell me about a time you needed help. 6. Tell me about a time you gave help. Overall, this was a pleasant interview. The interviewer gave me advice about my career and was very engaged throughout the convo. There were no surprises here and I could tell she just

UCLA Anderson Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
30 minute Zoom with a second-year student. General hellos at the beginning but then right into it (questions below). A bit tricky to gauge how I was doing because the interviewer was taking notes and therefore looking down while I spoke. –> If anyone knows more about how the second-years assess the interviews for Anderson, I’d love to hear from you! Questions: – Why an MBA, and why now? – Why Anderson? – What are your career goals? – What is your backup plan/Plan B if that doesn’t work out? – How will you

Why Darden? 3) Leadership style? 4) What would your team members tell about you if asked? 5) What clubs will you engage in? 6) What value will you bring to Darden?

Michigan Ross Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Zoom
Very direct interview style, without a lot of conversation. I was surprised at how abruptly we sent from one question to the next. The interviewer became much more conversational after I began asking my questions near the end of our interview. Her questions included: 1) Why Ross; 2) Why MBA; 3) Why now; 4) Tell me about a time you made a decision with very little information; 5) Tell me about a time when you influenced a team with one of your strengths; 6) Tell me about a time when you had to give feedback to someone who didn’t

CBS MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alum / Skype
Resume-based alumni interview. Very straightforward and interviewer was friendly. Standard questions (Why CBS, why MBA, why now, leadership examples) were asked. No surprises. Seemed like an overall assessment of fit, so I prioritized building a solid relationship with the alum throughout the interview.

CBS Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Zoom
I was emailed with the interview invitation and matched with someone based on location. I matched with an alum from the Class of 2020. It was meant to be a blind interview, meaning that it was resume-based and he had not seen my application. I set up the meeting on Zoom once we locked down a time to meet. We originally planned for 45 minutes, but the interview ended lasting a hour and 20 minutes. The questions he asked were generally: – Tell me about yourself. – Walk me through your resume in 1 minute. – Why

Brigham Young Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Professor / Zoom
The head of the finance department interviewed me and asked questions about my resume. Questions included: -Tell me about a conflict at work. -What are your career goals? -Do you have any target companies? -Why BYU? -Why Finance/Accounting? I asked about their global program and the Silver Fund experiential learning. Due to their lack of electives, I asked about professor engagement on more specialized topics. I was told I could create my own elective if I so desired by making a contract with a professor. I asked if they had many women in the Finance program.

UVA Darden Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
The whole interview was ‘Tell me about yourself’ with follow up questions in between that gave direction to the narrative. The interview was blind so the interviewer didn’t have access to my application or resume. Questions included: Why MBA (covered ST and LT goals)? Why now? Why Darden? What do you do in your current role at the moment? There were no behavioral questions at all, but my story covered examples of leadership, teamwork, initiative, and extra curriculars. It was very conversational and friendly. There were no surprises and Darden is at the top of my list now.

Michigan Ross Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
Interviewer was a bit flat, but not overly cold. The person had to reschedule a few times due to care-giving responsibilities and informed me the interview would last precisely 40 minutes. She provided time updates during the interview and informed me there would be six questions: 1) Tell me about yourself. 2) Why MBA? (I proactively answered “Why now”) 3) Why Ross? (I indicated an academic offering, an action-based leadership offering, and a club offering.) 4) Tell me about a time you had to deal with a lot of uncertainty and how you responded. 5) Tell

Dartmouth Tuck Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
The interview was conversational and resume-based. The interviewer was extremely welcoming, receptive, and pleasant. They were attentive throughout the interview and asked many follow-up questions tied to the answers I provided. I embedded Tuck-relevant insights throughout the interview in response to many of the questions. Thus, I think, but may be wrong, that the interviewer did not ask me directly, “Why Tuck?” and/or other similar questions in nature as I provided answers to this type of questions in response to other questions. The following questions were asked in approximately this order: Can you walk me through your resume and tell

Michigan Ross Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Zoom
My alumni interviewer was very warm, which made the experience a lot more enjoyable. We started the conversation with the interviewer providing me with background on her career. Then we dived into the expected interview questions: 1. Walk me through your background? 2. Why MBA? 3. Why now? 4. Why Ross? After discussing those preliminary questions we pivoted towards behavioral questions: 1. Tell me about a time you managed a team. 2. Tell me about a time you worked with individuals with diverse backgrounds. 3. Tell me about a time you received negative feedback.

Then we transitioned to some classic behavioral interview questions like: Tell me about a time you received negative feedback. Tell me about a time where you worked with people different than you. Tell me about a time you disagreed with a manager. Tell me about a time a project went off the rails. etc. We did about 5 of these types of questions then it

Really great experience. Columbia sent an interview invite via email and you get matched with your alumnus via their portal. After you are matched with someone (it seems to be by city and by industry you work in), it is on you to set it up by reaching out to them via email. I reached out to her and was a little surprised that the school didn’t seem to give them a heads up ahead of time someone was coming their way, so make sure your email basically introduces it versus thinking they are fully aware. I sent over my
