UCLA Anderson MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-year Student / Skype
The following UCLA Anderson interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant who was admitted with scholarship. Congratulations to them! I was interviewed by a 2nd-year student via skype in late October, approximately 3 weeks after the application deadline. The interview was blind-based, conversational and casual. The interviewer was very friendly and he shared a lot about his experiences at Anderson. He gave me some good comments during the interview, so I felt quite positive and enjoyed it very much. List of interview questions: Self-introduction Career goal, a few follow-ups regarding specific types of company, location, etc.

Northwestern / Kellogg Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following Northwestern / Kellogg interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! My interview with an alum from Kellogg was pretty casual – we met at a Le Pain Quotidien. I still dressed in business attire. He was very nice and asked me some zeroed-in questions about my career, particularly why I transitioned between fields. He also asked a few other standard interview questions: What is the strongest part of your application? What is the weakest part of your application? Why an MBA / what do you want to get out of

Columbia MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following Columbia MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! Interviewed with an alumna. Very casual atmosphere. Talked about my résumé, career goals, internship plan and a backup plan, what other schools I applied and my exchange experience (cuz what was her undergraduate school). Apparently, CBS has a list of questions they suggest interviewers should cover. But the alumna improvised as the conversation went on. She shared a lot about her own experience as a Columbia student and afterwards as well. The interview went well and the interviewer wrote to

U. Chicago Booth Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following U. Chicago Booth interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! Took place in a Starbucks. So, the interviewer meant to make it casual. But he did make a LOT of notes in his notebook during the whole process. The interview lasted about 50 min in total, including 3 questions from me. Very common questions. Walk me through your résumé. Why MBA? Why Booth in particular? How can you contribute to Booth? Any courses you have in mind that you want to take? Career goals? A leadership story and a failure

Northwestern / Kellogg Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumna / Off-Campus
The following Northwestern / Kellogg interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I interviewed with an alumna off-campus at a coffee shop. The overall feeling of the interview was casual but informative. She asked good questions and took a ton of notes. A few of the prominent questions were as follows (not necessarily in this order): Can you walk me through your résumé? Why are you interested in MBA/Kellogg? (In response to my non-traditional background) Why do you want to move into the position you are interested in post-MBA? Tell me two

Columbia MBA Interview Questions & Report: Rolling Admissions / Alumni / Off-Campus
The following Columbia MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Rolling Admissions Round applicant. Good luck to them! I got notified of my interview invite on 1/18. Got matched to an alumni and arranged an interview for 1/21. We met at his condo and used one of the meeting rooms there. I used business casual since it was off-campus and a Saturday. Super casual environment. He started by giving me a summary of his background. Then, he asked me to tell him about my story, not the regular walk me through your résumé, so I was able

UT Austin McCombs Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-year Student / On-campus
The following UT Austin / McCombs interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Interview was with a second-year student in the MBA Program Office on campus. Make sure to be a little early because interviewers all came out calling prospective applicants’ names a little early or exactly on time. It was a blind interview, the second-year student had my resume open on a laptop during the interview. Interview was pretty relaxed and conversational, but the interviewer had a piece of paper with questions on one half and filled in my responses

U. Chicago Booth Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following U. Chicago Booth interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! Interviewed with a locally based alum at a coffee shop. He was extremely nice and actually brought a laptop along as he took notes and filled in the Booth interviewer forms (I’m assuming) as we went along. Ended up having a really long, but mostly conversational interview that digressed a bit from the business school interview. The b-school related questions were: 1. Walk me through your résumé? 2. Why are you going for your MBA

Northwestern / Kellogg Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following Northwestern / Kellogg interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Blind interview with a 2016 Alumnus Interview started off well, but interviewer looked bored once he stopped talking about himself. At the end, he said he had to squeeze in some work between interviewing and pulled out his laptop before I even left the table. That was really off-putting and seemed rude. Questions: Tell me about your most significant career accomplishment. What impact did that accomplishment have on your career among your superiors and colleagues? e.g., promotion, more responsibility When

The following Columbia MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Regular Decision Round applicant. Good luck to them! The interview was at the alumni’s office. It lasted about 50 minutes. The questions were mostly based on my work history, why MBA, and why Columbia? I had read that the interviewer would try and garner if Columbia is top choice. It did seem that he asked a lot of probing questions around this topic. The interviewer started out by giving me a brief description of his background. He then asked me about my experience to date. He stopped me

Submitted my application 12/8/16, got invited to interview 1/6/17, scheduled interview for 1/18/17 Met my alumni interviewer at a casual cafe, dressed business formal. Because I have an unconventional background, she asked me a lot of questions about how I transitioned from my UG major into that field and how I attained my first internship, which led directly into an overview of my resume. We then talked about why MBA, why CBS, and what I was most excited about at

The following Northwestern / Kellogg interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! Interview happened at the office of the interviewer, it was with an alum and blind. Very casual, was more to get to know me and if I’d fit in the school. Probably makes sense as Kellogg cares a lot about the culture. Interview questions that were asked were: – Why Kellogg? – Why and MBA? – What do you want to do after? – What are you doing now? The interview was relatively

I was assigned an interviewer, so I didn’t get a choice in who to interview with. At first, I was nervous about this because my interviewer and I didn’t have similar backgrounds. Columbia MBA Interview Questions & Report: Regular Decision / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following Columbia MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Regular Decision Round applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! I was invited to interview in late December. Unlike previous years, I was only given a single interviewer to schedule with. Given that the holiday break was about to start and the rolling-admissions nature of Columbia, I wanted to schedule it as soon as possible. My interviewer was highly responsive and we scheduled an interview 2 days later. I received an email from an admissions member the morning of the interview asking me if I
