I had my HBS interview with Adcom members on campus last week. It felt super conversational, and they were smiling and laughing throughout with me, which was nice but unexpected. The atmosphere was casual. I was expecting something more structured and formal, but it ended up being a 45 minute barrage of why get an MBA and then 15 minutes of questions. UVA / Darden MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Adcom / On-Campus
My interview was at 9am at Darden’s admissions office with a member of the Adcom. There were about 10-20 interviewees also there for morning interviews, with about 4-6 scheduled every hour. My interviewer stated at the beginning that the interview would be completely blind, as she had not even viewed my resume. She then asked me to spend about 15-20 minutes talking about myself. Ross MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / 2nd Year Student / On-Campus
I was very impressed with how Ross conducted their interview day. I highly recommend doing an on-campus interview if you get the opportunity. Ross blocked out a bunch of rooms at a nearby hotel and driving around Ann Arbor is fairly easy. Rental car prices in the area are also very reasonable. I found the Darden interview to be the most relaxed of my interviews thus far. They create a very comfortable environment by having 1st and 2nd year students filter in and out of the waiting room to break the ice among all the prospective students. The interview lasted about 45 minutes. It was entirely conversational and felt more as though my interviewer wanted to get to know me (as opposed to seeing how I reacted under pressure). Stanford GSB MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 1 / Alumni / Off-Campus
The interview was in some company’s conference room, but was very conversational in business casual. I had not much in common with the alumni besides a hobby.
