NYU Stern MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 3 / Adcom / Zoom
Interview was held on a weekday afternoon via Zoom. Woman interviewing me was not an alum, but rather a part-time employee on adcom, from what I understood. We had a friendly chat to start things out about New York. Then she wanted to make sure we had plenty of time, so she got to the questions. I felt very prepared for the questions, and I got the sense she appreciated my answers and the research I had done on the program. Then I asked her a few questions at the end. Her questions were not simply one sentence questions; rather,

MIT Sloan MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
The interview was kept very strict to 30 minutes, which was unlike every other interview I did. The interviewer had thoroughly read my entire application. Overall, my interviewer was polite it was a pleasant experience. There was some small talk in the beginning, but then we got right to it. *Expect follow-up questions for your answer!* 1. Any updates to your application? 2. Tell me about your Data visualization. 3. What is something you’re working on/doing right now? 4. Proudest accomplishment in the last year? 5. A goal I set in the last year and how

CBS MBA Interview Questions & Report: Early Decision / Alumnus / Zoom
It was a standard interview, and lasted about 45 mins. Was asked on why MBA, Why Columbia and goals (both short-term and long-term). He asked to elaborate a bit more on my long-term goals to understand the context, and few follow-ups on that. The tone was very conversational, and felt like the interviewer was really trying to understand my goals. One thing that threw me off a bit was my plan B if my plan A goals don’t workout. No behavioral questions were asked. At the end, he asked if I wanted to add anything, and I mentioned how I

Dartmouth Tuck MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
I applied by December 1st (guaranteed interview) and interviewed on December 6th with a second-year student via Zoom: Interviewer: Intro, Agenda, Little about themself Questions (obviously from a template, but follow-up questions led to more of a conversational back-and-forth) – Walk me through your resume / tell me about yourself. – Why MBA? – Why Tuck? – [you mentioned XYZ, what are your short/long term goals in that field?] – Proudest accomplishment? – Tell me about a time you did something outside your comfort zone. – Tell me about a time you had a conflict

Berkeley Haas MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumna / Zoom
The interview started off with the interviewer introducing herself and background (e.g., when did she join Haas, career shift) and then she asked me questions. After my responses, she shared her opinion about that as well (e.g., I strongly agree with that, I have personal experience on this as well). Ended with “I will share the feedback with AdCom by today, and you should hear back from them soon.” Spent 30 mins interviewing, and 10 mins Q&A. End before time (~42mins in total vs. 45 mins scheduled). Interview sequence: 1. Introduce yourself. 2. Short-term goal? 3. Why Haas

Stanford GSB MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Zoom
Like another applicant said, this was my roughest and most stressful interview. It was an hourlong call with an alum and it was 100% behavioral questions (other than at the end – the typical why MBA / why now question). He interrupted me every time I started a story to dig deeper into what I was saying, but it felt very combative/argumentative and not like a friendly chat at all. His constant interruptions made me feel so flustered that I think I just started rambling. Questions were: – Tell me about a time when you thought of something before

Wharton MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
Joined Zoom room 10 minutes before interview time, but was only admitted at interview time. Had around 5 minutes to chat to other interviewees, before the 2 second-year students gave us instructions. We gave our 60-second pitch (no timer on screen), then the 25 minute timer for discussion began. Lastly, we had our 5-minute presentation. After, we got given the interview order. (3 per interviewer) We waited and chatted in the room until it was our turn, then joined the breakout room with the interviewer. Interviewer asked why MBA and why Wharton.

Berkeley Haas MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / First-Year Student / Virtual
Very candid conversation. Thoughtful and great follow-up questions. Had to be alert and think in the moment. Nothing tricky, just a very intellectual and well facilitated conversation. Questions: Tell me about yourself. Why MBA? Why Haas? Why now? DEI experience and embodiment at Haas. Biggest risk you’ve taken. Did you ever inspire someone to go beyond their role or scope of work? Anything I haven’t discussed that you would like to tell me? Weaknesses (2) that you wish to address at Haas? Any questions for me? Was sent interviewer name + email in advance, so was able to look her up on LinkedIn. She was great at making me feel comfortable and explained that Stanford was looking for very specific attributes in my answers, so she would likely interrupt and ask follow-ups. Interview ran about 65 mins, including time for questions. Only 5 questions in total, but went deep on the first three with follow-ups about the situation and reactions. 1. Tell me about an accomplishment you are proud of. 2. Tell me about a time you upskilled someone. 3. Tell me about a

Stanford GSB MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 Deferred / Alumnus / MS Teams
The interviewer was a GSB alum, Dragos Bucurenci. He only saw my resume beforehand. The atmosphere was extremely casual, felt more like a coffee chat with a friend than an admissions interview. Almost all questions he asked were behavior questions. The only exception was “Why Stanford.” He did not even ask about my non-traditional background (coming from Hungary and applying for deferred), but perhaps he did not even know about this. It did not feel as if the GSB had instructed him to double down on specific aspects of my application. This part of the interview took about 25 minutes,

Interviewed with an alum and it was very friendly and conversational. Questions were behavioral in nature: Tell me about yourself. Describe a time when you were forward thinking. Describe a time when you lead a difficult team. Went really in depth with follow-up questions to try and get to know you on a personal level.

LBS MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Virtual
I had a virtual interview with an alum that graduated over 10 years ago. LBS spent a lot of time matching me with my interviewer and they did a really good job since our backgrounds were extremely similar. A lot of the interview was focused on my professional work/industry background questions since we had that in common. This was followed by the common and expected behavior related questions (team conflicts, why MBA, why LBS, why London, my accomplishments and challenges, what other schools I am applying at). I felt the case question in the interview did not go as well,

I interviewed in late Oct 2022 with an alum that had a very similar background to mine. A lot of questions focused on my current work and industry since we had that in common. Besides that there were typical and expected behavioral questions: -Why an MBA? -Why LBS? -Why London? -Why an MBA now? -How I dealt with team conflicts? -What impact I’m the most proud of? -Challenges at work? -Career visions- followed up on this. -What other schools I’m interested in and pressed further on my choices?

Usual questions, walk me through your resume, why MBA, why UNC, short- and long-term goals. Tell me about a constructive feedback you received, a challenge at work and a time I saw someone being marginalized. The interview was only 20 minutes due to tech challenges. Switched to a call and there was no time for questions as the interviewer had another interview right after. Quite a normal experience. Hope this is helpful

Interviewer was friendly. Paired with alumna living in the same city as I am and with a similar background as I have. Told me about her background at the beginning. The interview was very casual and conversational. I got matched with an alum from a different country, but I think we were matched because of our goal of creating a social impact company. The questions were very standard questions: 1. Tell me a bit about yourself. 2. What is your goal and why MBA? 3. Why LBS? 4. What do you plan to do in LBS to help you achieve your goal? 5. How do you handle conflict that arose from different cultural background? The case was also very related to what we discussed during the
