Chicago Booth Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
The interview was conversational like all the other reports. I suspect the Booth interviews vary a bit depending on who you get as the interviewer. I was expecting more questions around “Why MBA, Why Booth, Goals etc.” from the other reports, but the majority of the interview time (30+mins) was spent on behavioral questions in my case. About 10mins was spent on Why MBA, Why Booth etc. and there was some time in the end for my questions. Questions that I can recall (not necessarily in this order. There was time spent on follow up questions & comments): -Interviewer

Berkeley Haas Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Google Meets
My interview was a resume based interview with an alumnus, with a few behavioral questions. It was very conversational and lasted for an hour. The questions included: Tell me about yourself ST and LT Goals Why MBA? Why Haas? Why now? Tell me about a time you fostered DEI. Tell me about a time you managed conflict among a diverse team. What is the biggest risk you have taken? It was a standard interview and what surprised me was that there were a lot of follow-up questions, but I feel it went alright. Definitely my

UT Austin McCombs Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
Interviewed in the Round 1 cycle via zoom by a second-year student. Overall, the interview was fairly laid back because of the student’s personality, but it was very structured. He read from a list of questions that seemed to have been prepared in advance by the admissions office, and took time to type answers to many of my questions. Most questions were basic, including the following: – Tell me about yourself. – Why an MBA? – Why now? – Why McCombs? – What are your short and long term goals? – Tell us about a

NYU Stern Interview Questions & Report: Round 3 / Adcom / Zoom
The total length of the interview went on for more than an hour. I had a serendipitous situation because I had met my interviewer at an AHBBS/ Admissions event last weekend. The tone of the interview was very conversational. Adcom had read my entire application already and the conversation started with some personal questions about my background regarding my You Pick 6. I was asked to highlight to experiences in my resume. I was asked Why Stern. Since she had read my short-term plan in the application essays, she asked me what my plan B for recruitment

NYU Stern Interview Questions & Report: Round 3 / Adcom / Zoom
This adcom interview was scheduled for 30 minutes but probably lasted 40-45 minutes. It was clear she had read my application in depth. As such, the questions were highly tailored to me and my experiences. The conversation was very personable, making it easier to get into a back and forth flow. Below is a list that I remember. Specific Pick Six question, seemed like an icebreaker What got me interested in my current industry? Berkeley Haas Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumna / Zoom
This blind interview lasted about an hour and was with an alumna. She had a list of questions to get through and pick from. The conversation was very personable; it was easy to establish rapport. I think Haas is very intentional about creating this sort of environment to get the best out of interviewees. The interview had a lot of behavioral questions. Below is a list that I remember. Why Haas? What do you want out of business school experience? DEI experience Clubs you’re interested in? What’s the biggest risk you’ve taken professionally? Led a team

Chicago Booth Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Zoom
The interview was conversational and resume-based and lasted for about 40 minutes. The interviewer, who is based in my country, was about 10 minutes late, so the interview didn’t start as smoothly as I was hoping it to start, but I remained calm and understood the situation as life happens. Other than that, the interviewer was pleasant, smart and given their impressive career in two different sectors (consulting and entrepreneurship), had some insights to offer at the end of the “official part” of the interview. The experience was positive and casual, although it was clear that the interviewer was having

NYU Stern Interview Questions & Report: Round 3 / Adcom / Zoom
The interviewer had read my entire application and started it off by asking me about one of pictures in my Pick 6. After chatting about it for a little while, we moved to the rest of the interview. The tone of the interview was very conversational and friendly. Since the interviewer had read my entire application prior to us meeting, the questions were a bit more targeted than the typical “walk me through your resume.” Below are some of the questions I was asked: – What stands out to you most in your work experience? – Discuss a time

Stanford GSB Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alum / Zoom
For my interview, I was paired with an alum from the same industry and location. They only had access to my resume. I contacted the alum and we set up a call ~8 days after I was notified to interview (what a pleasant surprise that was!). My interviewer was very nice and friendly. The atmosphere was conversational and I found that it was helpful to be interviewed by someone from the same industry since they understood the industry culture and context without too much additional explanation. No real surprises. I was told upfront that the interview will be behavioral to

The interviewer set the tone from the beginning that it would be “casual” and not a business interview. We started out with small talk for ~5-10 minutes and he gave background on himself as well as a few of his fondest memories at Booth. -Tell me about yourself. -Follow up questions on my job. -Why MBA? -Would I want to join a startup or a more mature company? -Long-term career role? -Which resources at Booth would you use to help with your career path? -Tell me about a difficult situation. -Questions for me?

Georgetown McDonough Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
Interviewed with an adcom member who isn’t full-time, but just helps with interviews, which meant that she couldn’t really answer my questions about the experience, current culture, DEI, etc., but it was still a good conversation. Very Q&A format, she didn’t respond much to any of my answers. 1) Tell me a little bit about yourself and how you were led to Georgetown. 2) Tell me about your short- and long-term goals. 3) McDonough has a focus on DEI, how will you contribute to the community from a DEI lens? 4) What role do you play in

UCLA Anderson Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Current Student / Zoom
I had a Zoom interview with a current student. The interviewer had a list of questions to go through and did not introduce themselves at all. My interview wasn’t very conversational, but the interviewer became friendlier towards the end after they had gone through their list of questions. So be prepared accordingly – as I ended up a bit nervous which affected the rest of the interview. Questions: 1) Walk me through your resume. 2) Why do you want to join a business school at this stage? 3) Why Anderson? 4) How will you contribute to the

Round 2 / Alumnus / Zoom I just had my interview with a Kellogg alum. A bit tricky to gauge how I was doing because the interviewer was taking notes and therefore looking down while I spoke. –> If anyone knows more about how the second-years assess the interviews for Anderson, I’d love to hear from you! CBS Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Zoom
I was emailed with the interview invitation and matched with someone based on location. I matched with an alum from the Class of 2020. It was meant to be a blind interview, meaning that it was resume-based and he had not seen my application. I set up the meeting on Zoom once we locked down a time to meet. We originally planned for 45 minutes, but the interview ended lasting a hour and 20 minutes. The questions he asked were generally: – Tell me about yourself. – Walk me through your resume in 1 minute. – Why
