Brigham Young Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Professor / Zoom
The head of the finance department interviewed me and asked questions about my resume. Questions included: -Tell me about a conflict at work. -What are your career goals? -Do you have any target companies? -Why BYU? -Why Finance/Accounting? I asked about their global program and the Silver Fund experiential learning. Due to their lack of electives, I asked about professor engagement on more specialized topics. I was told I could create my own elective if I so desired by making a contract with a professor. I asked if they had many women in the Finance program.

UVA Darden Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
The whole interview was ‘Tell me about yourself’ with follow up questions in between that gave direction to the narrative. The interview was blind so the interviewer didn’t have access to my application or resume. Questions included: Why MBA (covered ST and LT goals)? Why now? Why Darden? What do you do in your current role at the moment? There were no behavioral questions at all, but my story covered examples of leadership, teamwork, initiative, and extra curriculars. It was very conversational and friendly. There were no surprises and Darden is at the top of my list now.

Michigan Ross Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
Interviewer was a bit flat, but not overly cold. The person had to reschedule a few times due to care-giving responsibilities and informed me the interview would last precisely 40 minutes. She provided time updates during the interview and informed me there would be six questions: 1) Tell me about yourself. 2) Why MBA? (I proactively answered “Why now”) 3) Why Ross? (I indicated an academic offering, an action-based leadership offering, and a club offering.) 4) Tell me about a time you had to deal with a lot of uncertainty and how you responded. 5) Tell

Dartmouth Tuck Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
The interview was conversational and resume-based. The interviewer was extremely welcoming, receptive, and pleasant. They were attentive throughout the interview and asked many follow-up questions tied to the answers I provided. I embedded Tuck-relevant insights throughout the interview in response to many of the questions. Thus, I think, but may be wrong, that the interviewer did not ask me directly, “Why Tuck?” and/or other similar questions in nature as I provided answers to this type of questions in response to other questions. The following questions were asked in approximately this order: Can you walk me through your resume and tell

Michigan Ross Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Zoom
My alumni interviewer was very warm, which made the experience a lot more enjoyable. We started the conversation with the interviewer providing me with background on her career. Then we dived into the expected interview questions: 1. Walk me through your background? 2. Why MBA? 3. Why now? 4. Why Ross? After discussing those preliminary questions we pivoted towards behavioral questions: 1. Tell me about a time you managed a team. 2. Tell me about a time you worked with individuals with diverse backgrounds. 3. Tell me about a time you received negative feedback.

Michigan Ross Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
Started off with the interviewer giving me a little of their background. Then they asked: – Walk me through your resume. – Why MBA/Why now? – Why Ross? Then we transitioned to some classic behavioral interview questions like: Tell me about a time you received negative feedback. Tell me about a time where you worked with people different than you. Tell me about a time you disagreed with a manager. Tell me about a time a project went off the rails. etc. We did about 5 of these types of questions then it

CBS Interview Questions & Report: Rolling / Alumna / Zoom
Really great experience. Columbia sent an interview invite via email and you get matched with your alumnus via their portal. After you are matched with someone (it seems to be by city and by industry you work in), it is on you to set it up by reaching out to them via email. I reached out to her and was a little surprised that the school didn’t seem to give them a heads up ahead of time someone was coming their way, so make sure your email basically introduces it versus thinking they are fully aware. I sent over my

The interview lasted about 25 min rather than the allotted 30. My interviewer was Tiffany Jackson, she was extremely nice. 30-minute interview over Zoom with Adcom (blind/resume only) The interview was very conversational. The questions asked were all questions that have shown up on here before. Relatively informal-feeling conversation. He asked me many of the “standard” interview questions such as why Ross, why an MBA, tell me about a time when you led a team, tell me about a time when you disagreed with a superior and how you handled it…etc. It then took a slight twist when he shifted gears and asked if there was one thing I could change about the world, what would it be and why. It seemed to be a very open ended question and we ended up chatting about my answer after. Finally, he asked if there was anything else

UVA Darden Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
The interview was just like I had expected based on other interview reports! It was conducted blind (she had not even seen my resume), so make sure to convey everything you would want to from your resume and give background behind things (ie. they won’t even know when you graduated or how long you’ve been working). 1. Tell me about yourself, your family, where you went to undergrad and what brings you here today. She said that she might interrupt me with questions in the middle, but she didn’t really, she gave me free rein to speak. 2. Tell

The interview was very conversational and my interviewer was very personable. Lasted almost an hour. The interview was completely blind, he hadn’t even seen my resume. The questions were typical questions. Why Darden? What value do you think you’ll bring? He spoke a lot about what Darden is like and answered all of my questions. I was surprised with how not stuffy the interview was. I really enjoyed the experience and now think very highly of Darden.

UVA Darden Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Skype
I was interviewed by an adcom member. The interview layout is pretty simple and in line with the debriefs that one can find online. I was asked the following questions: 1) Tell me about yourself (went on for 10-15 mins). 2) Why MBA? Why at this point of time? 3) Why Darden? Questions that were new to me, but are the pretty standard behavioral questions: 4) What have you done to have inclusion and diversity in your team? 5) How have you ensured a flat hierarchy within your team? The interview went on for 40 minutes. Post

UVA Darden Interview Questions & Report: Early Action / Adcom & Second-Year Student / Zoom
I applied during the Early Action admissions round. I knew that I would have the interview with an admissions team member and a current student from an event that I attended earlier. The admissions member explained during the interview that the second-year student is joining us to observe mainly. The interview was very conversational. Starting with telling my story, why I want to pursue an MBA, why now, why Darden. Nothing out of ordinary. I wouldn’t say the interviewer explicitly asked me why MBA, why Darden, but it was more my story led me to talk about those areas. At

My interviewer came across as warm and friendly, and eased into the actual interview with some small talk beforehand. The questions went roughly as follows: 1.) Tell me about yourself; include your educational/professional background, why you want an MBA, and why you chose to apply to Darden. The interviewer followed up with some clarifying questions about my atypical work history. 2.) Tell me about a conflict you had with someone, how you handled it, what you learned from the conflict, and how you’ve applied these lessons to other situations going forward. 3.) Tell me about your leadership style;

UVA Darden Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
This interview was with a member of the admissions committee. You don’t know who it is until you receive an email an hour prior, with the interviewer’s name. I recommend you read up on their background. It is a straightforward conversation that they want you to drive. It is a blind interview so you need to make sure you nail down your story and talk about the experiences/things most important to you, and be able to tell that in your story/pitch. You will also need to explain why an MBA and why Darden. Once I gave my initial story (~5
