UVA Darden Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / On-Campus
The interview was a blind interview. I was interviewed by a second-year student and the interview was fairly informal and conversational. The interviewer started with an open-ended “tell me about yourself,” where I was prompted to give my life story, not just what was on my resume. The interviewer took no notes, but periodically stopped me to ask for clarity or more detail. There were no situational questions. Everybody at Darden was really friendly and everybody I met genuinely wanted to get to know me.

London Business School Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alum / Off-Campus
My LBS interview took place at Starbucks with an alumnus. He is working in the VC/PE space and I have worked in startups, so I think that was a common link. Interview was very casual and conversational. It started with introduction: – Schooling & family – College activities, internships – Work experiences After introduction he asked the below questions: – Goals – Why MBA? – Why LBS? NYU Stern Interview Questions & Report: Round 3 / Adcom / Skype
I had the interview via Skype with an adcom member. It was much more informal than I expected. Yet, the questions were centered around my career goals and recruitment strategy. MIT Sloan Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Skype
It was a very conversational interview. Since Sloan does non-blind behavioral interviews with admissions committee members, they are already familiar with your application and ask more targeted questions that allow you to frame your answers in ways that make sense to your story. MIT Sloan Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Skype
2020: the year of…coronavirus? Yes, Round 2 interviews for Sloan conducted via Skype due to coronavirus concerns, so that was disappointing because I was banking on going to campus to see a class and be able to talk about it/express my interest. I interviewed for Round 2 on-campus with a second-year student. My interview was the first of the day at 8am, and there were at least a dozen other candidates at the school at the same time as me. Everyone (faculty, current students, applicants) were all very welcoming and friendly, which certainly calmed the nerves. For the interview itself, Darden is unique in its approach. Duke Fuqua Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The interview was with an alumnus in Bangalore and was a blind interview with the alumnus having just my CV. The interviewer was friendly and the interview went smoothly. The interview lasted for about 40 minutes. Skype is really unstable in China. I’d recommend using a VPN. It was a totally blind interview. Duke Fuqua Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / On-Campus
I interviewed during a prospective student visit day at Fuqua. There were 60 or so other students interviewing on the same day to wait with. Talking to other prospective students beforehand calmed my nerves a bit. Not sure if Duke paired interviewers and interviewees purposefully, but my interviewer was second-year student who had accepted an offer in the same job function and industry that I’m working towards. Interviewed in the afternoon with a second-year student. I waited in the lobby with 10-15 other interviewees and was the first to be taken to one of the “learning team” rooms to be interviewed. UVA Darden Interview Questions & Report: Future Year Round 1 / Adcom / On-Campus
Blind interview just like a typical Darden blind interview. There’s nothing special other than that you will be interviewed by a member from Adcom. Domestic students also have the chance to interview via Skype. Just talk through your life for 30-45 mins. Prepare your story that you can say for 30mins. There will be follow-up questions or ask you to clarify some points. Generally, they are warm and no need to stress. You have time to ask questions even when they walked you out of the office. They really care about your story and your ability to say it.

Very straightforward, as others have noted. Was told it was a blind interview and that I would have a chance to tell the interviewer about my past experiences. Began walking through my resume and interviewer chimed in a number of times, but more or less spoke uninterrupted for 20 minutes. Blind interview – interviewer only had my resume. It lasted about 40 minutes, but I asked plenty of questions at the end. Interview was casual, and my interviewer was deliberate in his attempts to make me feel comfortable. First questions were as expected: walk me through your resume, why MBA, why Fuqua. My interviewer was a second-year student. We started off with a pretty standard resume walk through followed by why MBA, why Anderson, why now. Probably we talked about the professional side for too long, the interviewer asked about my hobbies and we happened to both love soccer. For my long-term and post-MBA plans, he was genuinely interested and offered to introduce me to someone in the consulting club who he thought should be able to help. Blind interview on campus. Per my understanding, majority of candidates are interviewed by second-year students and I happened to be interviewed by a member of admissions. I had prepped for a student so this threw me off a bit. We started with tell me about yourself – I began with high school – and the interviewer asked questions throughout. I didn’t love the fully blind interview process as I felt I had to explain basic facts that could have been easily learned from my resume. Everyone was incredibly friendly.

I did my interview on-campus on a Saturday. They had the option to sign up for various sessions before and/or after your interview. Since my interview was at 10AM, I signed up for a career management session, led the by the director, that began at 9AM, and then a tour of the building with lunch post-interview. The career management session was helpful, as it provided detailed/helpful information about what Fuqua students do post-graduation. The tour was short, but nice to see the school nonetheless. Background: The LBS adcom spends a lot of time (sometimes upto two weeks) to match you to an alumnus in your preferred location and usually s/he is in a field similar to yours. The interview was on March 4th at the Haas campus, it was with a first-year student, and it was blind. The interview took place in a small study room at Haas. My interviewer was super friendly and she asked a few behavioral questions. I interviewed for HBS with two adcom members on Skype. I had one interviewer and one observer. Overall, the interviewer created a very comfortable environment and would nod at my answers encouraging me to tell more. My questions were very tailored to my work experience, asking me about specific assignments at each of my jobs and why I switched workplaces. The interview was with adcom and it was application-based. The interview was very tailored to my application, resume, and interests. They already had a clear idea of who I was, but wanted to know more about the “why” behind my interests. It was a 30-minute interview and was fairly casual, very conversational. It was a great experience overall and I appreciated that they took the time to read through my application beforehand in detail. It allowed for the interview to get straight to the point and dive deeper.
