Northwestern / Kellogg MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
I received an email from Kellogg with my interviewer’s contact information and the time frame that I had to complete my interview. I reached out to my interviewer to schedule some time at a place of their choice. I also provided them with my resume as they did not see my application. The interview was very conversational and informal. The interviewer was very interested in knowing the background and strategy on how I arrived at applying to business school and eventually what led me to Kellogg. They wanted to ensure I have thought through all of my business school plans:

UC Berkeley Haas MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / On Campus
The visit was pretty fun, Haas and Berkeley in general are pretty nice considering the absurdly dense population of the San Francisco Bay area. The interview experience was really quite standard – my interviewer grabbed me from the MBA office and we went to a small study room to chat. He introduced himself and was friendly and conversational throughout. It lasted about 45 minutes, a bit longer than the others who started at the same time… most likely because we had a good dialogue and I was a bit long on some of my responses. At the end he opened

Yale SOM MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-year student / On-Campus
My interview at Yale SOM was blind with a second year student (resume only). I interviewed in the afternoon, and before then, I was involved in the all-day activities for prospective applicants (tour, current student panel, etc.) I arrived 15 min before my interview and was waiting with other applicants making a small talk. My interviewer picked me right on time, and walked me to the interview room. She introduced herself and seemed to be familiar with my resume (mentioned she was impressed by projects I’ve done). Then asked me to tell me more about myself. Questions Tell me about

Northwestern / Kellogg MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
Kellogg e-mailed me contact information for my interviewer. I had two weeks from the receipt of the email to complete my interview. I interviewed with alumni (recent grad in different field from mine), and the interview was blind (resume only). The interview started off by small talk (weather, talking about the small city we are both living in). While the interview was conversational, the questions were very structured. My interviewer took very detailed notes and was following what seemed like a script. Questions Introduce yourself / walk me through your resume Tell me about how your role in projects evolved

Chicago Booth MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-year student / On-Campus
Interview went by really quickly. It was only 30 minutes, with 10 minutes for questions. The interviewer was watching the clock the last 5 minutes to ensure we finish on time. The interviewer started off by introducing himself, and then asked me to introduce myself. The questions were structured but felt like a natural part of the conversation. Questions Tell me about yourself Follow up questions on my current position: accomplishment I’m proud of the most failure team work example Moved to post MBA goals follow up questions about an example of a company I would like to work for

Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Questions: Round 2 / Second-year student / Skype
The Michigan / Ross MBA interview was very conversational and honestly quite short. It is a blind interview with the student having seen only my resume. She came prepared with a few questions based on my resume. She explained that the interview would be quite short and she would only ask a limited number of questions before opening it up for conversation. The actual interview took only 17 minutes and covered a general walk me through your resume question. Questions Examples of leadership/team building Success and failure How I’d like to get involved at Ross Why Ross in particular Attributes

UC Berkeley Haas MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / First-year student / Campus
I interviewed with a first year student, on UC Berkeley Haas’ campus. All in all, it was a pretty relaxed, conversational and even fun experience. Then we jumped in the questions: Tell me about yourself Follow-up question: She asked if I use any of the skills from my previous job in my current role Why go back to school? The interviewer started by introducing himself and walking me through how the interview goes and the time frame for the interview (45 min with the last 10-15 min for me to ask questions). He highlighted that he only saw my resume and has not seen my application, and told me to feel free to talk about things that were already part of my application. He had a set of questions already provided by the school which he picked questions from and asked a few questions specifically about experiences in my resume. Chicago Booth Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-year student / On Campus
My MBA Interview at Chicago Booth was blind but the student had read my resume and prepared some notes on it. It began with the interviewer giving a short overview of his background and what brought him to Booth and then he asked me to do the same. He then worked his way through some standard questions of Why Booth, Why now, what are my goals, but they were very conversational and he did a good job of engaging in conversation between each question. Then we discussed topics such as a leadership success and failure, and then how I like

Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Questions: Round 1 / Second-year student / On campus
Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan MBA interview with advice: A lot of info is provided upfront by the adcom that lets you introduce yourself to all of your fellow interviewees on a GroupMe and coordinate rides/dinner the night before on a google sheet. I think it’s probably important to participate in the discussion whether you actually go to dinner/share rides or not. We arrived and were taken to a large classroom where some of the AdCom welcomed us as we ate a light breakfast/coffee. Then were split into two groups – one interviewed while

My MBA admissions interview at Fuqua was 2 hours long which was unexpected. I got many behavioral questions which my interviewer wanted me to answer with particular job experiences per my resume. In the end, he told me about his experience and if there was anything else I wanted to add. The interview was at a hotel. The interviewer was dressed pretty casually but I was in formals. He seemed nice but it felt less like a conversation and more like an interview. Questions LT/ST goals Describe a time you had to motivate your time How do you resolve conflict?

Harvard Business School MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / On-Campus
The Harvard MBA admissions interview was really relaxed — I truly got the sense my interviewer was just looking to get to know me. The visit was good. There were lots of activities (classes, lunch with the director, tours, chats, etc) during the day you could pick to be a part of. I found that everyone else interviewing was also really nice. We all chatted in the waiting area 15 minutes before our interview and right up until we each got pulled into the private rooms with our interviewers. London Business School Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-campus (New Delhi)
For LBS, The interview was with an alumnus, with about 12 years of post-MBA experience. The interview began smoothly, despite some nervousness; on account of it being by my first ever interview experience. The interviewer asked with a traditional “tell me more about yourself”. While it was a non-blind interview and he had my application documents and essay printed with him, it did not really look like he had gone through it in detail. What really helped was that while I ensured I answered to the point, I tried to leave some open ends for him to pick up on.

Yale SOM MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / On Campus
I applied Round 2, and went to campus for my interview and a day of programming. We met adcom members, had a formal intro by the Dean of Admissions, a Faculty lecture, student panel, clubs meet and greet, school tours [SOM & Yale University] and closing reception. Overall it was a great, friendly experience. Yale keeps interviews pretty standard, with 30 minutes time limit almost on the dot. The interviews are blind so the interviewer has your resume as their only reference of your application. The adcom member was friendly, and asked pretty standard questions that were on her rubric.

I applied to the Spring-2019 Evening & Weekend MBA intake and my interview-slot was 10 days post application submission. My partner and I applied together and our initial interview-slots were 4 days apart but the Ad-Com was very supportive in moving their schedule around to accommodate us both on the same day, making it easier for us to plan our logistics in and out of Chicago. I clubbed my Saturday with a class-visit in the morning and interview post-lunch.
