Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Ross is my first interview this year and I got in. The interviewer works as a banker at Beijing. Walk me through your résumé. Why MBA/ Why now/ Why Ross? These questions almost naturally combined together. He asked if I have applied to the dual-degree at Erb Institute. I didn’t. We then discussed something about my current employer’s business. What’s your company’s business about? What are the disadvantages of your company’s products? Why some end users still prefer to use

London Business School Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following LBS interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview lasted for about 2 hours and was fairly casual and engaging. He started with questions on my background including why I had made decisions to make a change in jobs, etc. Then we moved on to why MBA, why now and post-MBA goals. He was quite interested in hearing my back up plans if Plan a for post MBA didn’t work out. Also focused a LOT on why LBS, in context of the other schools I applied to.

Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I met the interviewer at a coffee shop at one of Ross’ “Off-Campus Hubs.” Ross does a typical blind interview where the interviewer has only your résumé. My interviewer came on time and was able to immediately identify me (I was surprised by this as the coffee shop was full of people in business suits all around the same age). After we sat down I handed him a paper copy of my résumé and the interview began. Questions were pretty

Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / On-Campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview was rapid-fire questions, and not too much probing or follow-up on any answers. I stayed for team exercise afterwards which was much more pleasant and enjoyable than I had expected. Here are the questions I was asked: Tell me about yourself. Why an MBA? Why Ross? What kind of people would you pick to be on a team and why? When is time you had to deal with a professional or personal change? Talk about a mistake/failure you

Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-year Student / On-Campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Participated in a interview in early February during one of those weekend slots. The day started with registration and breakfast, with a quick speech by Soojin, the admissions director. After that, we got split into two groups, maize and blue which determined our interview slot. Interviewed with a second year. He seemed more on the quiet side initially which made me a bit nervous as I couldn’t tell if the interview was going well. However, as the interview went on,

Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-year / On-Campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! It was a fairly relaxed environment. I went in for one of those weekend interviews in mid Feb which meant there were tons of other fellow applicants interviewing that day. The second year started out by asking general questions such as “Tell me about yourself.” As the interview progressed, we went more into detail about my career goals and my past experiences. The questions also focused a lot on teamwork and ability to work well with people of different backgrounds.

UPenn / Wharton Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-year Student / On-Campus
The following UPenn / Wharton interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! The TBD was an intimidating process, but overall I had a great group. I signed up for the first time-slot, and I was very glad I did, because the admissions office was very crowded and chaotic later in the day. Many people recommend getting to campus early so you can chat with other students in your TBD in the lobby, to make your TBD more comfortable. I did not find this helpful because there are multiple groups during the

Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-year Student / On-Campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Interview was on 02/14/17 for Round 2 I went to interview on campus in Ann Arbor, MI. The interview was with a current student. The interview was blind. Questions: Why MBA? Why Ross? Tell me about a time when you had to work with someone that had an extremely different background from you. Any questions for me? The actual interview was really short. They allotted 45 minutes but we were done with the actual interview questions in about 20

Harvard Business School Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / On Campus
The following Harvard Business School / HBS interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview was very relaxed and conversational. There was a member of the admissions team and an observer from the admissions board in the room. It was clear that the admissions team member had really taken time to review my application. The questions were totally based on my résumé and experience. The interview began with the interviewer asking me to tell her about my current project at my consulting job, and she dove in to more detail about it

UPenn / Wharton Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-year student / On-Campus
The following UPenn / Wharton interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! Before the interview began, we all stood around looking like cattle ready for the slaughter. Uncomfortable introductions, followed by subtle competitive posturing, all of which is to be expected. My strategy was being likeable from the beginning. I said hi to everyone, introduced myself confidently, even though I was nervous. I figured at least one person would be on my time and the earlier you can build rapport, the better. The receptionists looked like they were taking notes about

Stanford MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following Stanford GSB interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Initially it was a little difficult to find a mutually agreeable time. After some back and forth, we were able to find a time during the week to meet in the city (East Coast). The beginning was certainly very conversational, as we are both from the same area, and this certainly helped break the ice. The interview ended up lasting about an hour and covered the following questions: Tell me about yourself. Why did you decide to study X as an

Michigan / Ross Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-year Student / On-Campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I took part in one of the interview days in the middle of the second round. The day included activities from 8am-3pm such as a meet and greet, Q&A with admissions, then the interview with a second year student, followed by the group activity, lunch, and class. The tone of the interview was pretty conversational, and the student asked some pretty regular questions. The one note, is that they have a pretty tight window, so each interview has a hard

MIT Sloan Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / On-Campus
The following MIT Sloan interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview was quite behavioral, as some have noted in the past. Interviewer had a set of questions that focused on past accomplishments and challenges, there was none of the standard “walk me through your résumé” prompt. Sample questions: Describe your leadership style Tell me about a time you convinced a group of an idea in the face of opposition Tell me about something that happened that you did not plan for. How did you react? Describe how you manage your time Describe

UPenn / Wharton Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Off-Campus Hub
The following UPenn / Wharton interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! I interviewed at the Wharton Beijing Hub with four other applicants in the same group and one adcom. Here’s the whole process: We arrived more than 30 minutes before our time slot and settled at a meeting room. We got to know each other and everyone’s background a little bit. When the adcom came, she asked for our résumés (some of us didn’t bring a copy but the hub had printers) and led us to the interview room. Adcom explained the interview

MIT Sloan Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following MIT Sloan interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I interviewed with MIT LGO program off campus. The interviewer was very friendly and straight-forward. Most of the questions are event-based and he specifically asked me not to use the same answer from essays. Tell me an example that you successfully convinced a person to accept an idea. Tell me an example that can show how you worked with a people who is hard to work with. Tell me the three partner companies you want to work for an internship. Should be specific

Stanford GSB Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following Stanford GSB interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Interviewer was a really nice guy. He started by giving a lot of details around his history, experience, education, and activities (basically a blow-out of his LinkedIn). Overall the structure was broader question with drill-down questions. He really emphasized that he was looking for very specific examples. Questions he asked me: Talk about a time you identified an opportunity no one else had recognized yet? (Standard GSB question, I talked about a specific org I started) Follow-up: How did you grow the

UC Berkeley Haas Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following Berkeley / Haas MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! We met at a restaurant and after a small-talk he described what was going to happen: he told me about himself, then he asked me standard questions and I asked mine. Whole interview took 45 minutes. Contrary to many reviews here, interviewer did not ask any fit question, none about defining principles or extracurricular activities. Although I managed to insert my views on leadership and culture at Haas, I feel that he was not interested in anything except

Yale SOM Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Off-campus Hub
The following Yale MBA interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview was very formulaic. When I entered the room, the Admissions associate introduced herself and then told me that the interview would be 30 minutes and 6 questions. They used to allow alumni and current students to hold interviews, but said that was too hard to standardize/judge. AdCom said she hadn’t read my file, but did have my résumé in hand. Questions were: Walk me through your résumé. Why an MBA/why now? One success at work/why was it meaningful.

UPenn / Wharton Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / On-Campus TBD
The following UPenn / Wharton interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! We were all nervously sitting outside talking amongst each other before they called 6 people into a room for the team-based interview. There were two second-year students who were part of the admissions team who conducted our team-based interview. After reading the prompt and going through some general directions they started the clock. 35 minutes to discuss everyone’s idea and come to an agreement on the next leadership venture for the McNulty Leadership Program. He was very kind and welcoming, always smiling and looking to the camera. He was dressed in suit and tie. And I tried to smile, look at the camera while I was speaking and I wore suit and tie. Also, I tried to sound casual and be sympathetic without crossing the line. Practice until you

UPenn / Wharton Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Off-Campus Hub
The following UPenn / Wharton interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I interviewed at the Wharton San Francisco campus. Rather than having 3 representatives from Wharton in the room during the Team-Based Discussion, we only had one adcom. We each handed her our resumes (thankfully I had one printed!) at the start and then went around the group and introduced ourselves by name and college. The Team-Based Discussion felt very relaxed, and the adcom rep sat in the corner with her head down the whole time taking notes. The group realized we
