UNC Kenan-Flagler Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / On-Campus
The following UNC Kenan-Flagler interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview was quite social and was conducted inside the adcom’s personal office so it felt even more friendly than in a designated interview room. The interviewer started off telling me that she did have time to look over my resume and I was surprised that my resume was highlighted on certain parts and had some side notes. (My advice: know your resume forward AND backwards). My interview ended up being 45 min (normally interviews are 30 min at

Northwestern / Kellogg Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following Northwestern / Kellogg interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! My interview took place at a Starbucks in Atlanta with an alumnus. We started off by introducing ourselves and going over a quick background. Afterwards, we began the formal interview, which included straightforward questions… 1. Walk me through your resume, highlight a few important aspects you are most proud of. 2. Why Kellogg? Why MBA? Why now? 3. What do you think are your strengths and weaknesses? The interview ended with me asking questions I had

UVA / Darden MBA Interview Questions: Round 1 / Adcom / On-Campus
The following UVA Darden MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! I interviewed in early November on-campus with a woman from the adcom as well as a female second year student who was training to do interviews herself. The interviewers had only seen my résumé. They asked me to spend about 30 mins walking through my “story.” I described my education background, how I got my current job, what I did at my current job, why I wanted to get an MBA, and why Darden. They asked small questions throughout

Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! I met the interviewer, an alumni of the school, at a restaurant. He barely smiled and had me uncomfortable throughout the conversation. I had uploaded my résumé on the portal but obviously the interviewer had not checked it out. I had a copy with me which I gave him and he spent about 2 mins reviewing it after which the interview started. After introducing himself, he asked me the following questions: Tell me about yourself Why MBA Why Ross

Michigan / Ross Interview Questions: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! I finished my interview last month. The interview was really long, which lasted 1.5 hour. I don’t know why the interviewer has so many behavior questions to ask. I suggest you pick on-campus interview or Skype because these two format are more standardized and within time frame. The cafe my interviewer chose to meet is quite quiet!!! Everyone there was reading books or doing homework, this particular cafe has background music in very low volume. It’s soooo weird for

UVA Darden MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / On Campus
My interview was with a member of the Executive MBA admissions team (even though I interviewed for full time). Incredibly relaxed interview that consisted of me talking for about 30ish minutes with interjections when adcom had clarifying questions. I was able to lead the conversation however I wanted and had some great informal tangents that made it fun. My advice would be to have a plan for the key points you want to hit as you are generally in control. We discussed my undergrad, professional experience, why MBA, why Darden, and short term goals. We also touched on personal

London Business School Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following LBS interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! The interview took place in the alumnus’s office. It lasted approx. 1h. I’ve was asked the following questions: – Tell me about yourself – Why MBA? – Example of a leadership situation (what did yo do right, what wrong?) – Greatest opportunity and threat for your field Then the interviewer gave me the impromptu presentation: “pro and cons of focus groups” (5 min to think about it and 5 to expose). Finally the interviewer asked

UVA Darden MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom/ On-Campus
The following UVA / Darden MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! I’m very glad I prepared ahead of time for this interview. My interviewer was the Associate Dean of Admissions! After I got over my nerves at the beginning the conversation went very smoothly. The interview was totally blind. She opened with the Darden, “so tell me your story.” I went chronologically but she interjected with questions along the way and I wove in specifics about why Darden throughout the story process. After I finished my story she had

Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-year Student / On-Campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! Interview was very conversational and my interviewer was really friendly. He started out the conversation by telling me a little about himself and told me we needed to get through 7 questions that he had to ask me. Most of it was what you would expect, what me through your resume, etc. There were a couple times where he wanted more information about a particular accomplishment or experience I had. I’m very involved with a non-profit organization that supports

NYU Stern Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / On Campus
The following NYU / Stern MBA interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! Was a very easy going interview with a number of standard questions. Started off with an icebreaker about my undergrad experience. From there we went all over the place with some standard questions and some I hadn’t considered but were interesting: • Questions about résumé items • Why MBA? • Short Term Goal after MBA? • Why Stern? • Give me a 15 second elevator pitch for consulting (my short term

UVA Darden Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-year Student / On-Campus
The following UVA / Darden MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! I had a 30-min interview with a 2nd year international student. It was very easy going and conversational. It was also a blind interview and my interviewer did not take notes. The questions are very typical for MBA. They include: • Introduce yourself and tell me about your background. • Why MBA? • Why Darden? • How do you see yourself getting involved on campus? • Tell me about a conflict you

Berkeley / Haas MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following Berkeley / Haas MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I met the alumnus at her office, and overall it started off on a very friendly and casual note and introductions. The first question got straight the point, which was “Tell me about yourself” which I interpreted as a “walk me through your résumé” kind of question and started talking about it. It then flowed in the following questions as I spoke about my story: • Why MBA? • Why Haas? • What communities/student groups will

Northwestern / Kellogg Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following Northwestern / Kellogg interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! Interviewed with an alumnus on a weekend last October. We met in a coffee shop that was pretty quiet so we had no trouble communicating and the entire thing was quite casual, except for the Kellogg guidebook he was taking notes on, which I’m assuming had interview prompts and guidelines. We started off giving each other a bit of brief background for ourselves. Turns out we were working in the same company for about a year and a half. Afterwards,

Duke / Fuqua Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-year Student / On-campus
The following Duke / Fuqua interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! Interview was with a second year student in a private room on-campus. Very conversational and very relaxed. The answers you provide guide the interview for the most part. Standard format; they start with their background, you provide your background, jump into questions, and then ask them questions. While my interview had a copy of my resume, it didn’t seem as if they read it beforehand. Here are a few of the questions in no particular order: Why Fuqua? Why

Northwestern / Kellogg Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following Northwestern / Kellogg interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! Interviewed with an alumnus in my industry at his office. I sent my résumé to him via email when I scheduled the interview and he had it printed out in front of him at the interview. The questions were quite straightforward and easy, and it was more of a conversation than anything. He peppered his own experiences when relevant throughout our conversation as well. 1. Walk me through your experiences thus far (which I took to mean talk

Emory / Goizueta Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / On Campus
The following Emory / Goizueta MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! Had a pretty straight forward interview with no surprise questions and it turned into a conversation. General questions were as follows: • How would your co-workers describe you with three character traits? The three traits caught me a little off guard but was able to put something together. • Why MBA, why now, why Goizueta? • Post MBA plan, and how will Goizueta help you achieve them? • Professional advice I’ve received. We had

London Business School Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following LBS interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! I am a Latin America applicant living in and working in Europe (not-UK) for one of the biggest industrial companies of the world. I am an engineer actually doing field engineering work. I was interviewed by an MBB consultant who had a similar pre-MBA background as mine. There were not typical behavior questions. It was more a career discussion, actually I felt like my interviewer was really interested in what I want to do and to asses if an MBA and LBS

Emory / Goizueta MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumni / On-Campus
The following Emory / Goizueta MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! I attended Emory’s Super Saturday campus visit event, which was very well done as an opportunity to engage with students, professors and AdCom members. I greatly appreciated that AdCom members were friendly, which they haven’t always been at some other schools. After a lot of planned activities applicants who had scheduled an interview were led to the career services center. I met with an alum, as it seemed most everyone else did that day too. The interview questions were quite traditional:

The following Rice / Jones MBA interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 Applicant. Good luck to them! Pleasant interview experience. Fairly short at 30 minutes. A female 2nd year interviewed me. She didn’t have my background and was genuinely passionate about the school. Interview was informal and relaxed. She had my résumé but that was it and had read it beforehand as she knew well my background. Questions were: Tell me about yourself (i.e. introduce yourself). Why MBA? Why Rice? Give me an example of leadership. Give me an example

Dartmouth / Tuck MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-year Student / On Campus
The following Dartmouth / Tuck MBA interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a November Round Applicant. Good luck to them! Very casual/friendly interview. Spent 75% of the time walking through my résumé, asking for more detail on projects I mentioned, why I chose the extracurriculars I did, etc. Last 25% were more behavioral based (time I worked on a project that did not go as planned and what I learned, any recent and meaningful leadership experience, anything interesting about me not listed on my résumé). Overall, it was a pleasant, conversational interview meant to more fully understand my experiences and how

UPenn / Wharton Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-year Student / On-Campus
The following UPenn / Wharton interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! I interviewed later in the afternoon and got to go to a class and lunch prior to interviewing. I really enjoyed my day on campus, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the team based interview. I knew one or two of the other interviewees in the room from the day spent around campus, and would say that was helpful, but unfortunately I think my group was just not extremely cohesive. I felt the 35 minutes was extremely scattered and rushed.

The following Stanford GSB interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! Very typical to Stanford interview. No oddball questions, relaxed and a very good feeling of the process and after. We met at the alumnus office around lunch time and interview lasted exactly 45 minutes. I was asked: • Tell me about the time you faced an obstacle • Tell me about the time you worked with a difficult person • Tell me about the time you were innovative • Do you have anything what you would

The alumnus I interviewed with was in Finance – I met him in his office and that was where we had the interview. It was not a blind interview – he had my entire application form in front of him and was asking me questions. The following were the questions asked: 1. Tell me about yourself 2. Why LBS? 3. Dartmouth / Tuck MBA Interview Questions & Report: Early Action / Second-Year Student / Campus
The following Dartmouth / Tuck interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by an Early Action Round Applicant. Good luck to them! After waiting in a common area with other applicants, an admissions team member came in, called my name, and walked me to our interview room. The room is a nondescript meeting room with a small table that both you and the interviewer sit at. There is a small amount of time for ice-breaking conversation as you make your way to the room and take your seat. The interviewer I had was a very composed, quiet individual who was very warm
