Duke / Fuqua Interview Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following Duke / Fuqua interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by an Round 1 applicant who was waitlisted. Good luck to them! I was interviewed by an alumni of the school. We met at a cafe near the alumni’s work place. The interview was conducted blind, i.e. the interviewer was only exposed to my CV. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly and my interviewer made me feel very comfortable. We started with the regular questions – walk me through your CV, long term and short term goals, do I prefer to work within a team or alone, do I

U. Chicago Booth Interview Report: Round 2 / Second-year Student / On-Campus
The following U. Chicago Booth interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I attended a campus visit event and interviewed at Booth with a second-year student. The event was great and allowed us to get to know current students, faculty, and the overall learning environment at Booth. Everything ran smoothly and it was a very good experience. I highly recommend visiting the campus of your target programs, speaking with current students, and reaching out to alumni in your desired field(s). Booth students and alumni are very friendly and supportive. The interview was also

Northwestern / Kellogg Interview Report: Round 1 / Alum / São Paulo
The following Northwestern / Kellogg interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. It was very conversational and the whole interview was in Portuguese. She wanted to get to know me and things I’ve done in the past. It was exactly what I expected, no question that I haven’t prepared before. It lasted +/- 45 min. 1. Walk me through your résumé. 2. Why a MBA and why now? 3. Why Kellogg? 4. What are your short and long term goals. 5. Most significant leadership experience. 6. What would

Georgetown / McDonough Interview Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Skype
The following Georgetown / McDonough interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview lasted about 35 minutes. The woman was really nice, but she was asking some odd questions about where I was applying towards the end–I think trying to awkwardly gauge whether I would in fact attend Georgetown if they admitted me. 1) Walk me through your résumé. 2) Why an MBA? 3) Why Georgetown? 4) Tell me about a time you had difficulty with a team/team member, and what you did to improve that relationship.

Michigan / Ross Interview Report: Round 2 / Second-year Student / On-Campus
The following Michigan / Ross interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I really enjoyed my interview day at Ross, but the actual interview was a bit hard to read. First, my interviewer took copious notes on his laptop. He explained that he was trying to capture everything that I presented, which is great, but it also had the effect that we never made much eye contact and he didn’t react to what I was saying. So, be prepared for that, and try not to let it mess up your flow. Questions:

U. Chicago Booth Interview Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following U. Chicago Booth interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview was in the alum’s office. It was blind and my interviewer had only seen my résumé beforehand. The interview started out by the alumnus telling me that I should be at ease. He asked me what I thought the purpose of the interview was – when I said it was to assess fit with the school, he said it was also for applicant’s to get a sense of the school through interactions with ambassadors of the school. UPenn / Wharton Interview Report: Round 2 / Second-year student / On-Campus
The following UPenn / Wharton interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Overall great experience. On interview day you have the option to attend a lunch with current students, attend a class of your choosing, and depending on the day you interview, attend a happy hour with current students. I opted for all of them and highly recommend others do the same. For the interview, all the students interviewing in the same time slot waited in the lobby area giving everyone the opportunity to chat, *learn each others names*, and just relax a bit.

Georgetown / McDonough Interview Report: Round 2 / Second-year student / On-campus
The following Georgetown / McDonough interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! My interview at McDonough was very relaxed and straight-forward. My interviewer was a second-year student who was very nice, though she was an international student so I felt there was a bit of a language barrier. The questions were pretty typical: – Tell me about yourself and your experiences (I walked her through my resume) – Why an MBA? Why Georgetown? – Tell me about a time you demonstrated leadership – Tell me about a time you

UNC / Kenan-Flagler Interview Report: Round 3 / Adcom / On-Campus
The following UNC Kenan-Flagler interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 3 applicant. Good luck to them! I did the whole day visit on campus. It was very well organized and gave a great impression of the school – even during down times student ambassadors stayed in the admissions office and chatted with the prospective students. The interview was blind and seemed a little more formal but still stuck to the basic questions: 1. Walk me through your résumé 2. Why MBA? 3. Why Kenan-Flagler? Conversation was sparked off of

The following NYU / Stern interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! I had been to the adcom office the day before my interview for the “lunch with a student” program, so I knew where to go on the day of my interview. Nevertheless, I arrived 15 minutes early to cool down before the interview. The adcom secretary gave me a T-shirt, but no additional information about the school or clubs I was interested in, as I had read in others’ interview reports from previous years. The interviewer walked me

The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. I participated in the on campus interview along with the team exercise. The whole process ran very smoothly and was well organized. The admissions director first had a brief introduction and we were then told how the interview process would work. The interview with a second-year student was pretty straight forward and didn’t include any questions that were beyond the typical MBA interview and behavioral questions. – Tell me about yourself/walk through résumé – Why MBA?/Why Ross?

Yale SOM Interview Report: Round 2 / Second Year Student / On-Campus
The following Yale SOM interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Had the interview on campus last week and it was conducted by a 2nd year student. Yale plans a full day to give you time to sit in a class, tour the campus and have a Q&A session with an adcom member. These sessions are optional but I would recommend going for the full schedule. Interview was short and the 2nd year was clearly going off a script. Asked the following: 1. Walk me through your résumé. 2.

He arrived an hour after I had called him. When he arrived he apologized but not as profusely as I would have expected from someone arriving so late. The following Dartmouth / Tuck interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by an January Round Applicant. Good luck to them! Had a great visit to Tuck and really got a feel for the tight-knit family and culture that Tuck is famous for. The Q&A session was informative and the lunch was hosted by current first-year students and they talked about their experiences and answered questions in an informal, no-pressure format. I interviewed with a 2nd year student and it was casual and more of a conversation. However, I don’t think I nailed down the formality dynamic between me

The following Yale SOM interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I had a great experience interviewing at Yale SOM. I had really high expectations of the interpersonal skills of Kellogg alum based on reputation of the school but my interviewer was quite dry and robotic, the opposite of what I was expecting. She asked me to go through my résumé position by position for the first 10 minutes, then asked about any leadership examples, why I had worked in the public sector and now wanted an MBA, I was asked to give an example of a failure or mistake at work,
