The following Berkeley / Haas interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. The interview took place in a relaxed environment / the interviewer’s office. Questions: 1) Walk me through your résumé 2) Why MBA? 3) Why now? 4) Why Berkeley? 5) Some specific questions about my future plans Overall, it was relaxed and a good conversation. Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Report: Round 1 / Alum / Off-campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! I interviewed with an alumni of Ross who graduated three years ago, and now worked as a consultant in the area. It was at a Panera Bread in Washington, D.C. The interviewer was very, very cordial. He even bought me a coffee. In total, the interview took about 55 minutes (35-40 minutes of questions for me; 15-20 minutes of questions for him), because we got into a good conversation about Ross and the opportunities at Ross. I

Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Report: Round 2 / Second-year student / On campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. I participated in the on campus interview along with the team exercise. The whole process ran very smoothly and was well organized. The admissions director first had a brief introduction and we were then told how the interview process would work. The interview with a second-year student was pretty straight forward and didn’t include any questions that were beyond the typical MBA interview and behavioral questions. – Tell me about yourself/walk through résumé – Why MBA?/Why Ross?

Yale SOM Interview Report: Round 2 / Second Year Student / On-Campus
The following Yale SOM interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Had the interview on campus last week and it was conducted by a 2nd year student. Yale plans a full day to give you time to sit in a class, tour the campus and have a Q&A session with an adcom member. These sessions are optional but I would recommend going for the full schedule. Interview was short and the 2nd year was clearly going off a script. Asked the following: 1. Walk me through your résumé. 2.

Georgetown / McDonough Interview Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following Georgetown / McDonough interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Interviewed with an Alumnus at coffee shop. I was a little uncomfortable in the conducting the interview in such a casual environment while adhering to business guidelines. Questions asked: • Walk me through your résumé? • Why MBA? • Why Georgetown? • What international work experience do you have? • What news/topics do you follow outside of your industry? Did not leave with a good feeling but we shall see. Good luck to everyone still going

HEC Paris MBA Interview Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following HEC Paris MBA interview report was provided to us by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Interviewer arrived 90 minutes late. After 30 minutes of waiting I called him and he said he was stuck in traffic but I got the sense he had forgotten about the interview and my call reminded him. He arrived an hour after I had called him. When he arrived he apologized but not as profusely as I would have expected from someone arriving so late. To begin he asked me to go through my résumé, during which he seemed completely bored. After

Dartmouth / Tuck Interview Report: January Round / Second-year Student / On-campus
The following Dartmouth / Tuck interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by an January Round Applicant. Good luck to them! Had a great visit to Tuck and really got a feel for the tight-knit family and culture that Tuck is famous for. The Q&A session was informative and the lunch was hosted by current first-year students and they talked about their experiences and answered questions in an informal, no-pressure format. I interviewed with a 2nd year student and it was casual and more of a conversation. However, I don’t think I nailed down the formality dynamic between me

Yale SOM Interview Report: Round 2 / Second-year Student / On-campus
The following Yale SOM interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I had a great experience interviewing at Yale SOM. A second-year student interviewed me and asked very general questions. There were no curveballs. It was quite conversational. I was asked to give a background on my career path, details about my current position, long-term goals, why Yale was a good fit, and what I might want to get involved with at Yale SOM. I was most surprised by how friendly the students were – many SOM students made an effort to

The following IE Business School interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! The interview took place in an office space the interviewer was borrowing. He was very friendly and easy to speak to. He did not necessarily ask me questions about my résumé, but instead brought up parts of my résumé or essays that he was particular impressed with. He was very open about expressing admiration for my accomplishments and bringing up minute details of my application that demonstrated the thoroughness in their review of my application. Overall the interviewer spoke

Northwestern / Kellogg Interview Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following Northwestern / Kellogg interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I had really high expectations of the interpersonal skills of Kellogg alum based on reputation of the school but my interviewer was quite dry and robotic, the opposite of what I was expecting. She asked me to go through my résumé position by position for the first 10 minutes, then asked about any leadership examples, why I had worked in the public sector and now wanted an MBA, I was asked to give an example of a failure or mistake at work,

INSEAD Interview Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following INSEAD interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant who was accepted. Congratulations to them! I had two interviews for INSEAD both at local coffee shops. In both interviews it was clear that they wanted to get a sense if I would be a good cultural fit for the school above all else. Both interviewers were very friendly and the interviews felt more like casual conversations rather than interviews. I was asked about my experience with cultural diversity and to name a diversity experience that surprised me. As a student from the US, I was asked

The following Yale SOM interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Overall the interview was very pleasant. The questions were straightforward and conversational, and there were no real surprises. She dug into details here and there. I was expecting a few curveballs based on the interview archives and the video essay practice questions. 1. What do you do at your current position? 2. What led you to your current position? 3. (My work is international so she asked this): What exactly do you do in xx country? Do

The following Cornell / Johnson MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! My interview with Johnson was a really enjoyable, relaxed conversation with a member of the Adcom. Although I received some questions I wasn’t expecting, nothing was completely out of left field and the interview process wasn’t too stressful. She already had a copy of my résumé on hand. The interview lasted about an hour. Some of the questions I asked included: • Tell me your narrative (I went ahead and used this as a chance to combine the “walk me

UT Austin / McCombs Interview Report: Round 2 / Second Year Student / On-Campus
The following UT Austin / McCombs interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Overall, it was very much in line with what the clear admit reports described. I attended a class beforehand, which helped remind me why I applied to UT, and help get myself excited for the interview. The interview was conversational, but at the same time she clearly had a script that she was following with specific questions to ask. I answered her questions for about 30-35 minutes, and then had a pretty brief 5 minute period to ask my question. She asked for my

UVA / Darden Interview Report: Round 2 / Second-year Student / On-campus
The following UVA / Darden interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. My interviewer (a second-year student) was very friendly and the atmosphere was casual. The interview was similar to those that others have reported – I was given about 30 minutes to “tell my story”. This task was MUCH less daunting than I expected it to be. I approached this as combing the “walk me through your résumé” question with the “why an mba/why now/why XX school” questions. This seemed to be effective. My interviewer interjected just a few times with questions

U. Chicago Booth Interview Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following U. Chicago Booth interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I had my interview with a local alum in my home city, and it was held in the conference room of his workplace building. My interviewer was a recent graduate of Booth, so our conversation was pleasantly laid back and very casual. While the interview itself was technically blind (résumé only), he did offer brief feedback on what the admissions readers had mentioned regarding a few aspects of my application. Because my professional background is in a fairly

The following Duke / Fuqua interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by an Early Decision applicant. Good luck to them! You show up on the admissions floor and sit in groups on the couches with the other people interviewing and a first-year student who you can direct questions to. Then the second-year students who are doing the interview walk over and start grabbing people and bring them into the interview rooms. The interview was very conversational but the interviewer had a structured agenda and made sure to keep to it. Walk me through your résumé

The following U. Chicago Booth interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! My interviewer graduated from Booth in the early 2000s and was from a completely different industry. Nevertheless, there was a lot for us to talk about and the interview was very conversational and lasted for almost an hour. He began by saying that he would take two minutes to review my résumé again and proceeded to circle things that he would later ask me about. He asked me the following questions: – Walk me through your

Northwestern / Kellogg Interview Report: Round 2 / Alumni / Off-Campus
The following Northwestern / Kellogg interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Met with an alumni in Toronto, Canada at his office. The interview was blind (the alumni had only seen my résumé). The whole experience was very relaxed. The interviewer had a different style than what I expected. He started at the bottom of my résumé asking about college: How I selected that school, favorite and least favorite classes, teaching method of the school. I did not expect so many college related questions since I have 9 years of work experience. Really tested
