Tuck MBA Admissions Interview Questions: EA / Second-year student / On-Campus
Approximately 30 minutes — 20 minutes questions for me, 10 minutes questions for her. Walk me through your resume. Tuck MBA Admissions Interview Questions: EA / Second-year Student / On-campus
Pretty similar to everything described on here. 25 minutes of questions, 5+ minutes of questions for her. Very relaxed and conversational, which was to be expected. The following were my questions, as far as I can remember: 1. Walk me through your resume 2. Why an MBA? 3. Why Tuck? –> This lead to a question of whether I picked my small, liberal arts undergrad because of its size 4. Extracurricular Activities at Tuck? 5. Time where you dealt with a difficult situation at work and what you did to respond 6. Long-term goals (had

Columbia MBA Admissions Interview Questions: ED / Alumnus / Off-campus
My interviewer was a recent graduate. We met at a Starbucks near where she lives on a Friday afternoon. She told me from the outset that she thought the whole process would take about 45 minutes with 30 minutes of her asking me questions and 15 minutes for my questions to her (more time than I had planned questions for, so take note of that). The interview stuck to that schedule pretty much to the minute. Walk through resume Why business school Why Columbia Short term goal Long term goal Talk about a time you had difficulty working with a

Oxford / Saïd MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Open Enrollment / Sector Consultant / on-campus
The admissions officer met me in the lobby and brought me to a small conference room, where I was introduced to a sector consultant. Since I saw a number of the professors who teach in the program walking around, I’m not sure if it is a good or bad sign that a sector consultant interviews. Supposedly, Oxford invites around 40% of candidates to interview. The invitation email says the interview will last 30 min, the interviewer told me it would be 45 min, and it lasted about an hour with only a few minutes for me to ask questions. Two

Wharton MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Group Interview with Second Year Student / On Campus
The first part of the interview was a group discussion in which candidates shared an investment idea for innovation, one of Wharton’s “pillars.” The interview was completely unstructured – the two second year students who act as moderators sit in the corners of the room and take notes. For approximately 40 minutes, we all discussed our ideas and molded/sculpted one of them into a presentable and workable investment opportunity. Everyone was cordial, respectful and open. Some of the candidates were less succinct but all in all, I felt that everyone was able to get their points across. Certainly not a

London Business School MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 3 / Alumnus / Off-campus
First, some of my key takeaways: 1. Don’t stress out. 2. Turn it into a conversation by inviting them into your story. This takes vulnerability, but pays dividends. My interviewer, at the end, said that he’d like to stay in touch as a mentor. 3. You need to be able to communicate how what you accomplished is valuable to the London Business School, and be specific. Don’t just say what you did, relate it to how you will take that experience and use it to enrich LBS in these three ways. Here are the questions I was asked: 1. Walk

Columbia MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The interview was at the alum’s place of employment. I was dressed formally and prepared fairly diligently by using personal resources as well as some of the posts found here. When I was given my choice of interviewers, I found that all of the alum offered were recent graduates. My alum was more or less of my age. We ran through some of the typical talking points: Walk me through your resume. Why B-school. Why Columbia. What I will add to Columbia. Backup plan if I don’t get in (I’m an entrepreneur and this question was stressed big time). Am

Tuck MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Off-campus / Alum
The interview went well and it seems very promising. Hope to hear back soon with good news. The interview had quite a few people and the atmosphere was very somber. She asked me question about was were my plans for the future and about my education. My experience was very enjoyable and very surprised about how calm I became as the interview went on. There was not really surprises but just a relief that things went so well.

MIT / Sloan MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Adcom / On campus
I walked into the office 20 minutes early and chatted with someone who looked like an applicant but ended up working there. Oops. Then I sat with applicants and we talked about our careers and where we were applying. One girl had applied to MIT and Kellogg, the other girl had applied to HBS and Stanford. My interviewer came out first, she was smiling and excited to meet me and begin. She definitely made me feel like she was on my side during the interview. We made small talk first and connected on some information about China (I worked in

UT Austin / McCombs Evening MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 4 / Admissions Director / On Campus
I submitted my application and received interview request that evening. The interview dates were 1 week from the application date, and I was given 2 dates and 4 time slots to choose, but 1 interviewer. I interviewed for the Evening MBA program with the Associate Director of Admissions on campus. The interview was formal, but comfortable in the private office of the interviewer. The interview was blind, and the interviewer made that clear at the beginning. The interviewer explained that the interview and application would be put together for review later. -Describe a leader you admire. How are you applying

Berkeley / Haas MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 3 / Second-Year student / On-Campus
I was greeted by a 2nd year student to conduct my on-campus interview. The interview was blind, but the interviewer did have a copy of my resume which she had briefly read-over before beginning the interview. They started off by asking me to introduce myself and talk about my resume with a specific focus of my current job/role. After that, she asked me about why I wanted an MBA, what I hoped to do it with, and why specifically I was interested in Haas. After those questions, they began probing into more of the behavioral questions around my working style,

Ohio State / Fisher MBA Interview Report: Round 2 / Adcom / On-Campus
The following Ohio State / Fisher MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview experience was great. The interview genuinely focused more on questions I may have for Fisher than them seeming to evaluate me. They did ask standard questions about my leadership style and experiences, effective and successful teams I’ve worked with in the past, as well as discussing companies and entrepreneurs I respect. I met several current MBA students and met with the office of career management, which sent me a follow-up email with dozens of resources

Wharton MBA Admissions Interview Questions: R2 / AdCom / Off-Campus Hub
I arrived a bit early in order to make sure that I had the directions for the location right, and thus was able to chat with my fellow team members before the discussion. All of them, even though slightly tense due to the occasion, were very nice and easy to talk to. We were then asked to join the AdCom member in our conference room, where we were seated at a round table (we were able to choose our seat). The AdCom explained that she would not interfere and only notify us when we had (if I remember well) 15
