Cornell Johnson MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Zoom

NYU Stern MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Zoom
Interviewed with an adcom member. She was super nice and made me really comfortable throughout the meeting. You should be ready for very specific questions from your application materials. I think Stern puts a lot weight on candidate’s recruitment strategy, so be prepared. Other than that, just go out and show your research and interest into the program. Good luck to everyone. (Lasted about 35 minutes) – Question about Pick Six. – Could you give me an overview of your daily responsibilities? What does your typical day look like at work? – How would your coworkers describe

Chicago Booth MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-Year Student / On-Campus
The Booth Admissions committee offered an in-person interview option that was easy to do in conjunction with in-person programming consisting of a complimentary lunch with current first-year students at the Booth cafeteria, a student-led tour of the Harper Center, and attending up to two classes with Booth students. The in-person interview process allowed for a very personable and engaging glimpse into the Booth experience. I elected to do the in-person programming the day prior to my interview, which better informed me on specific courses and professors for the interview. The interview was conducted by a second-year Booth Admissions Fellow. Interviewees

LBS MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The adcom matched me with an alumnus from my country and also from the same industry I work, so it helped me be a lot more comfortable in the interview. We set the location of the interview to be in his office, which was in the same city I live. As soon as I got there I felt very welcomed and an informal environment, much more like a conversation than an interview. We talked a lot before the interview starts since we had a lot in common, so a very good environment was set when we began. He asked the

NYU Stern MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Zoom
The interview was pretty laid back. They’ve read through the application (Resumes, Essays, Pick 6, etc.) It was about 22 minutes long, then I received about 8 minutes for questions. Here are the questions: Explain your roles. What was a project where you’ve encountered a failure? What was the most challenging project you’ve done? What is a positive trait your colleagues would describe you as? What is a negative one? What is another leadership trait that you think is most important, aside from the ones already described? Wharton MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
My interview for Wharton was on November 1 (Round 1) over Zoom. This was the TBD interview, and the interview atmosphere was formal. The interviewers were two 2nd-year students (did group TBD exercise, then had a 1-on-1 interview with just 1 of the students). The 1-on-1 interview was only 10 minutes, and just a few questions about my TBD experience: Talk about the TBD experience – What did you think? How do you think you individually contributed the most? How do you think your team did? What went well? What could have been improved? At the end, she left a

MIT Sloan MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Zoom
My interview was for MIT on November 7th (Round 1), and it was with an adcom member over Zoom. The interview atmosphere was formal, but friendly. The first question was to describe my data essay in more detail and what were the takeaways. Besides that, she mostly asked me about my background (tell me about job experiences), if there were any updates since I submitted my application, and a few “tell me about a time” scenario questions. At the end, she left some time for me to ask questions as well. I was surprised she didn’t really ask much about

LBS MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumna / Off-Campus
I met my alum interviewer in a coffee shop and we spoke for about 1 hour. She started by asking me to tell her about my journey to applying to LBS, why LBS, and why London. We then went into further detail about my current job, my day-to-day roles, challenges I’ve faced and how I’ve overcome them, as well as what back-up options I’d consider if I didn’t land a job in the industry I hoped to post-MBA. Finally, I was given a case about the tech industry (not an industry I have any experience with) and was given five

Interview with alumnus. He wanted me to get a private space to do the interview, he told me it was part of the test to see how resourceful I was. The interview was friendly. He told me about his experience at LBS and recommended me enough. Standard questions: Why LBS? Why London? Is LBS your top choice? Leadership stories. The case was about finance. We discussed it a lot and he did some follow-up questions. I liked the experience my interviewer seemed like a top-notch professional, which inspired me even more to pursue my MBA in London.
