UCLA / Anderson MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 1 / Second-year Student / On Campus
The interview took exactly 30 minutes. The interviewer was very pleasant and friendly. Overall, it was laid back and low pressure. None of the questions I was asked were out of the ordinary. Here is a list of some of the questions I was asked: Tell me about yourself. Handful of questions about different things from my resume (nothing unexpected). What are your short-term and long-term career goals? Why MBA? Why Anderson? How do you define success? Tell me about a leadership experience you’ve had at work. Tell me about a time you worked well as a peer on a

Cornell / Johnson MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Off Campus (Skype) / Adcom
My interview was via Skype — because of snow, I was unable to make it to campus as planned. The interview itself was quite formal — very much question-answer, but the interviewer did make an effort to transition nicely from one question to the next. There were no surprises for me, but I was glad I had done a little research on Skype interviews beforehand because it was definitely a little off-putting. Questions: Before we get started, tell me something about yourself that isn’t on your resume Walk me through your employment history and why you make the changes that

Bring your resume! My alum was very nice, casual and led a conversation more than an interview. I’m a little late in posting, but I wanted to post since this site was helpful to my success during my interview. Walk me through your resume Why an MBA? What are your goals? Kellogg MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Alum / Off Campus
Thanks to this page, I walked into my interview feeling pretty good. Thanks, ClearAdmit! Good thing I brought extra resumes as my interviewer did not have mine. The questions were pretty standard: Walk me through your resume What are your short/long term goals? Why Kellogg? Tell me more about the organization you started during your undergraduate days (I was the founder of a cultural organization in college, and my interviewer asked a few follow-up questions after this) Tell me three traits that you believe a good leader possesses? Tell me about a time you dealt with conflict with a co-worker

Hub interview on February 27th, 2012 in Dubai She met me in the waiting area and walked me to the conference room. Very friendly and relaxed. Tepper MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Skype / Adcom
My interview was very similar to what has already been mentioned, very friendly indeed. The questions that had not already been mentioned: What are the traits that I look for in a great leader? What is it about my job that brings me stress? It’s very important to know the school and to have a strong answer for “Why Tepper?”.

Tepper MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 (Consortium) / Phone-Skype Interview / Adcom
My interview was conversational and flowed pretty well. The adcom originally tried calling me on Skype, but we had audio issues so we resorted to a standard phone interview. I had met my interview before at a recruiting event so he pulled my application to ask questions prior. Questions: Tell me about yourself Why MBA at Tepper Who have you spoken with at Tepper to learn about the culture Tell me something about you that’s not on your resume or in your application I ended with a recap of why I wanted to attend Tepper and why I thought I

Duke / Fuqua MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / On Campus / Second-year student
I interviewed with a second year student at Fuqua. There were about seven other interviewees waiting in the admissions office when I got there. Current students also came in and out throughout my time there to answer any last minute questions applicants had. The interview was very casual, and lasted about 35 minutes. The interviewer started by telling me about her background, and then asked me to walk her through my resume. She didn’t ask follow up questions at that time, but did reference some things I mentioned later during the interview. After reviewing my resume, she asked me to

Duke / Fuqua MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Second-year Student / On-Campus
Interview was with a second-year student on campus at Fuqua’s main facility. He assured me before the interview even started that it was going to be very conversational, mentioning that he had been in my shoes just two years earlier. The interview certainly went that way as it turned into much more of a conversation than anything else, as question responses that I gave often led to tangents that dug into both of our backgrounds/experiences. I don’t recall all of the questions he asked (he would take the pre-written list and modify them as he saw fit to better get

Duke / Fuqua MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / On Campus
I interviewed at Fuqua on Feb. 25, 2012 The interview lasted about an hour and was a mix of conversation and having to come back to answering the list of questions the interviewer had to ask. We made some chit chat about how my visit was going before “officially” starting the interview. Questions: Why MBA? Why now? Why Duke? Coming from a non-traditional background how do I think I will handle the rigor of the program? (weird questions considering i have an engineering degree) How would you handle a team member who was not carrying his weight? – What if

Duke / Fuqua MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / On-Campus / 2nd Year Student
I had my Fuqua interview (on-campus) with a second-year student on the morning of February 24th. The interview was very conversational, with his questions lasting 45 minutes and my questions for him lasting the final 15 minutes (1 hour total). He took notes throughout and occasionally referenced a sheet of questions. Walk me through your resume. Why MBA? Why Fuqua? Why now? What are your career goals? Short-term? Long-term? Tell me about something you regret. What accomplishment are you most proud of? What is your biggest weakness? What is your biggest strength? What is your style of leadership? How will

Am very thankful to all the contributors of this wiki as it was really helpful for me in preparing for the LBS interview. Here is my contribution: My interview was held at the Alumnus’s office. UNC / Kenan-Flagler MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Adcom / Telephone Interview
I interviewed with a member of the Adcom, Mr John Hughes, on December 5, 2011 over telephone. He had a copy of my resume with himself and started the interview in an unexpected manner by trying to throw me off my feet. I had worked with two organizations before joining my family business in 2010 but most questions revolved around my first two jobs. A) Tell me about the town your hometown and schooling. B) Why did you choose your undergrad college? C) Why did you choose to do an undergrad in Economics? D) Why did you pursue a Masters

UNC / Kenan-Flagler MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Adcom / On-campus
The interview was a blind interview, meaning my interviewer had not reviewed my application. He only had a copy of my resume, and the interview revolved around my resume. We spent a few minutes with chitchat, and he described his background and what he was aiming to get out of the interview. It was very casual and conversational, and the interview lasted about 45 min. Everybody at KFBS was extremely friendly, and I was quite impressed. The interviewer went right off my resume and made notes on the resume itself. Questions included: Why did you pick your college? What was

Chicago Booth MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / On-Campus / AdCom
My R2 interview was conducted at Booth on February 24th. There were a number of first year students and Dean’s Student Admissions Committee representatives in the waiting room to greet visitors. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. A kind and engaging member of the admissions staff conducted my interview. She shared my non-profit background and was supportive and interested throughout the half-hour. The interview was comfortable and conversational. My interviewer let me know that she would be taking notes during the meeting and would give me a heads up when we got close to 30 minutes. Give me an overview of

Tepper MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / On-campus / Adcom
My interview was very conversational and the adcom who conducted my interview made me feel welcome and comfortable. Before the interview, there was a class and campus tour I was able to participate in. The students were extremely friendly (something CMU takes pride in because of the close knit community). I recommend doing some activities beforehand because it will help you during the interview. I interviewed recently at Fuqua (round 2 applicant, on campus interview). The interview was with a second-year student and was very friendly and relaxed. I interviewed with an alumn from Fuqua (Duke) in London on Sunday, February 19, 2012. My interviewer chose the lobby of Landmark hotel in Central London as the venue. It was a very fine hotel with a comfortable and secluded seating area in the lobby. Why am I here in London? – I am not a British What’s my current role? Have you done modeling in your current role? (I am a general manager). My interviewer probed me and when she couldn’t obtain a satisfactory answer, she asked me that how comfortable am I with Maths? One example where a

Duke / Fuqua MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / On Campus / Second-year Student
My interview was on February 25th after a “Fuqua Friday” event on campus the prior night. It was a great opportunity to mingle with Fuquans and other prospectives. Interviewees who attended the event seemed more at ease the next morning than others who showed up just for their interview. It helped me appreciate the laid back atmosphere which is a huge selling point for Fuqua that the students try very hard to maintain. The on-campus interview is with a trained second year student. Interviewers are assigned at random and have only your resume. Dress is business casual although about 30-40

Columbia MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Regular Decision / Off-Campus (Merit Fellowship Interview)
I just completed my interview a few hours ago. Submitted my application on 1/3/12 and was invited to interview on 2/21/12. I would definitely recommend that you prepare for all questions on this site to be fully prepared! My interviewer was really cool and the interview was really informal, so my advice is to prepare like it’s a formal interview but don’t expect one. I still recommend dressing in business attire (I wore a suit and tie on a Sunday) and to choose your interviewer carefully. And contact your interviewers early and schedule as early as I can. They get

Kellogg MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / 2nd Year Student / On-campus
I was asked pretty standard questions: Walk me through your resume. Why do you want an MBA? Why Kellogg? What clubs would you be a part of and why? What do you want to do after Kellogg? Overall it was a very comfortable interview. I was happy I had a chance to speak with a student this time and was able to ask more student focused questions. Get there early, get a feel for the campus and sit in a class or two. The culture there is fantastic and everyone is very nice. Good luck!
