Northwestern Kellogg Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
It was a very conversational interview with the Adcom. Below are the questions that I was asked. Walk me through resume. Short-term career goals? Biggest professional accomplishment? Why MBA? Why Kellogg? Working with a diverse team? Challenges? Rewards? Strengths and weaknesses from teammates? Where something went wrong on your team. Strongest and weakest part of my candidacy. What do I do for fun? Anything we haven’t discussed that you want to talk about?

Stanford GSB Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Zoom
Interview was Zoom-based with an alum from GSB in business casual clothing. Interview was straightforward as any other GSB interview — the format was an hour long with 10 minutes remaining for any questions for the interviewer. The interview was mainly structured as me talking him through my resume and double-click questions throughout: + Talk me through your resume. + What was it like growing up in [Country]? + What was your most impactful moment as an Analyst at [Company]? + Why did you move from [Company] to [Company]? + Tell me about a time

Texas McCombs MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 3 / First-Year Student / Zoom
Round 3 Zoom interview with a first-year MBA student – I didn’t learn who the interviewer was until only a couple minutes before the interview. Application submitted 3/30, interview invitation received on 4/5, interviewed on 4/9 (still waiting to receive final admissions decision). Interview was pretty standard – I can’t remember every single question, but everything he asked was covered in other McCombs interview reports here on Clear Admit. I liked the interviewer and we had brief bits going off-script, but he was just reading through a list of questions and typing as I responded. The interview itself lasted 45

UNC Kenan-Flagler Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
My interview with UNC KF was with a member of the admissions committee. She mentioned that since she was part of the admissions committee she had read parts of my application (and then tailored some of her questions towards that). Questions included: Usual Tell me about yourself questions Why I want the MBA/Why the MBA now Why I want to go into my intended career path A question I wasn’t expecting was “What is one thing that people assume about you that ISN’T true?” Why is racial equity important and what does it mean to

Texas McCombs Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
I interviewed with one of the adcom officers of McCombs. Out of all my interviews, this one was the only one where I felt very uncomfortable and self-conscious. The moment the interviewer saw me, his demeanor completely changed. He did not seem interested in learning more about me and when I was asking questions about the school or program, he had a very lackluster response. For example, I asked what was the best part about the McCombs culture? His response was, “oh… the people. I really like the people who are in the school.” Normally, interviewers would answer in great

LBS Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Zoom
The interview was on Zoom. My interviewer was very friendly. He introduced himself and the process briefly, and then asked the standard why MBA / why now / why LBS questions. Then he asked the behavioral questions. Most of the questions were behavioral. I was expecting some questions regarding family, but surprisingly they never came. 1. When was a time you made an impact on your organization? 2. Tell me about a difficult teammate you had. 3. Tell me about a time you demonstrated leadership. The problem solving question was nothing to worry about. It was very

Stanford GSB Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Zoom
It was a blind interview with an alumnus – they only had access to my resume. The interview was centered around my own experiences (including challenges and failures) and reflections, instead of my accomplishments. Interviewer was very sharp, frequently challenged my views and fact-checked my statements; he had rich industry experiences. Questions: Introduce yourself. Why GSB? What is your long-term goal in life? Why? What is your personal motivation for doing this? Tell me an experience about going beyond your current role. What was the biggest challenge? Which approaches did you try? How did you influence

Tell me about how your organization has done in the past 12 months. Follow-up: How did you motivate your team (in this situation)? What was your greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months? MIT Sloan Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
My interview was with an adcom, and the interview lasted exactly 30-minutes. We spent around five minutes talking about my data visualization. We then moved to four behavioral questions. 1) Why an MBA? Why Sloan? 2) What do you currently do at your company? 3) How has your background helped you solve client problems? 4) Tell me about a time you motivated someone to go beyond their believed capacity. Adcom then allowed me to ask questions and the adcom then asked me if there was anything else the admissions committee should know about me. Overall, my interview

MIT Sloan Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / AdCom / Zoom
My interview was not as behavioral-based as I thought it would be. I was prepared to talk in more depth about conflict/persuasion/leadership type “stories,” but most of the questions focused on how the last year has been, my future goals, and my interest in MIT Sloan. My interviewer was conversational, but I did find that their expression was neutral. I did my best to keep upbeat and energetic! The interview was shorter than I expected…the questions portion only lasted ~20mins and I was given ~10mins to ask questions at the end (total was less than 30 mins). Questions that I

Cornell Johnson Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Skype
The interview was very friendly and conversational. Fairly conventional and nothing particularly surprising, though it was highly tailored to my resume and background. There was definitely a strong focus on why Cornell specifically and it seemed like the interviewer was trying to assess my interest in the school. I definitely got the sense that Johnson has a strong and tight-knit culture from how the interviewer interacted with me and talked about his experience. Questions: 1. Walk me through your resume. 2. Why are you getting an MBA? 3. Why Cornell Johnson? 4. Have you spoken with

MIT Sloan Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
The interview – application + two pre-interview essays-based – felt like a genuine free-flowing conversation rather than interviewing with a person who needs to go through a specific set of questions before the interview ends (the feeling one has when interviewing with students and alumni). It lasted for about 40 minutes and was extremely enjoyable. The interviewer seemed to have enjoyed it as well and was very amicable (contrary to what I’ve read online, the interview was far from being “too serious,” and the adcom tried to make me feel comfortable). Given the interview is application-based and personal, I think

LBS Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Virtual Interview
Had a fairly conversational interview with an alum that consisted of the standard questions (Tell me about yourself, why MBA, why LBS) as well as some questions about my resume and behavioral questions. My interviewer had already read through my application so there wasn’t a ton of probing questions on my motivations for b-school since it was already in the app. One unexpected question was what other schools I was applying to- makes sense since LBS is very concerned about yield, so this is important to have a good answer prepared about why you would prefer LBS vs. other schools.

Yale SOM Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
Interviewed with a second-year student working in an unrelated field to me. Very relaxed, resume-based interview. No surprises, they follow a script. Biggest professional achievement? ST/LT goals Why MBA? Why Yale? How will you contribute to diversity at Yale? Tell me about your quote? A time when you listened to someone and they changed your mind (using active listening). Overall advice is to keep your story straight and practice a lot. The 30 mins time constraint is strict. Have 2-3 max questions at them for the end. Good luck to whoever is reading this!
