UCLA Anderson Interview Report: Round 2 / Second-year Student / Skype
The following UCLA Anderson interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Hello! I did a Round 2 Interview with a second-year student over Skype. I think the interview was extremely relaxed because I knew that I had already got into a couple schools. It seemed quite short, and it only last about 25 minutes or so. They did a brief introduction about the interview process and what it is was meant to do. I couldn’t make it to LA, so Skype was the best option. I usually prefer in-person, but it went well. The

London Business School Interview Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following London Business School interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I applied in Round 2 and was notified by the AdCom on February 3rd (the day the AdCom said they would notify people) that I had been invited to interview. A regional representative followed up ~1.5 weeks later with the contact details of an LBS alumnus and instructed to set up an interview before a specific date. The interview took place at the office of the alumnus (in my home city). The interviewer was very cordial and we made small

UPenn / Wharton Interview Report: HCM Round 2 / Second-Year Student / On-campus
The following UPenn / Wharton interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 HCM applicant was who admitted. Congratulations to them! I was a Health Care Management applicant so I had the pleasure of completing two interview sessions! The first was the Wharton Team Based Discussion (TBD). I arrived about ten minutes early. This gave me time to socialize with my team ahead of time, and I can’t recommend this strongly enough. Knowing each person’s name as well as a bit about them made our overall discussion much simpler. Logistically it was very similar to most others’ experience. The

Northwestern / Kellogg Interview Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following Northwestern / Kellogg interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! It was a blind interview. Lasted for about 45 mins. Questions: 1. Leadership experience – explained about one of the major projects I worked on. Many follow up questions on the same. He asked about the performance of this project – told him some numbers. He said that was not good performance – I was already aware of that and spoke about the future enhancements that were being done to market it better – He looked convinced

Yale SOM Interview Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Off-Campus Hub
The following Yale SOM interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. I reached early and she asked me if it was okay to start for the interview. Since I was ready, I went in. I asked her about her trip to India so far and she explained in detail. We spoke a bit about the weather and pollution and about travelling in general before starting off with the interview formally. 1. Explain about your work? – Told her about the same – I mentioned about all the planning and road map reviews that I was

Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! So, my interview with Ross with an alumnus off-campus. Scheduling an interview was convenient as Ross uses an online interview scheduling system. We arranged a meeting at a Starbucks on a weekend. The interviewer was very accommodating in scheduling an interview. I wore a suit while the interviewer was in a collared shirt and trousers. The interview was informal. The interviewer worked as a consultant. Ross sends many of their students into consultancy. The interviewer spoke about their

Michigan / Ross MBA Interview Report: Round 2 / Second-year Student / On-Campus
The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I interviewed on-campus, which consists of a half day of presentations, optional class visits, building tours, etc. On the date I interviewed, there were probably close to 100 people with me. We were split up into two groups – one group went off to go meet their interviewers, whereas the other group stayed behind and had opportunities to ask current students whatever questions they liked. As for my actual interview, it was quite laid back and relaxed. You’ll want to prepare

INSEAD Interview Report: Round 3 / Alumni / Toronto
The following INSEAD interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 3 applicant. Congratulations to them! I had two interviews with INSEAD alumni in Toronto. The two interviews were very similar in content, but different in context. Both interviews covered the following point: – Career history, what did I do in my career. – Career achievements: they wanted to know that I did some achievements in my career. – Diversity: they asked me about diversity in my experiences and how much I value diversity. They wanted to know that I have been through different experiences that

The following NYU / Stern MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 3 applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! Date: interviewed on 2/29/16 for R3 admission Type of interview: application based interview. I had the feeling that the interviewer had a very detailed knowledge of my application file, as she referred several times to my answers in the applications, to elements of my essays and to very detailed data points of my résumé. List of interview questions: Why MBA? Why now? Why Stern? Please explain why did you decide

Berkeley / Haas Interview Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following Berkeley / Haas interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I interviewed with a Haas alumnus on February 29, 2016 for a Round 2 interview. The alumnus and I met at a coffee shop in Beijing, China (which, frankly, was a bit too loud for my taste). We grabbed two waters and took a seat in the back couch area. It was a completely blind interview, where the interviewer didn’t even look at my résumé – he asked for a copy of it which I, fortunately, had with me (so make sure

UT Austin / McCombs Interview Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Off-Campus Hub
The following UT Austin / McCombs interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Atmosphere was relaxed but with more challenging questions than I had in other interviews, even though it was late in this process for me. Seemed very interested in my way of thinking and personality. Very professional, engaging, and good interview I though. Questions: • Walk me through your résumé. • Tell me a time you worked with a team. • Why MBA? • Why McCombs? • What clubs/activities are you interested in? •

Berkeley / Haas Interview Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following Berkeley / Haas interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! I interviewed with a recent Haas alum in London at her office. We were in a conference room setting, which felt quite formal (similar to a job interview). But the alum was very friendly and down to earth. She said she had only seen my CV and not the rest of my application, so she assured me it’s fine to repeat things from my essays. She also checked my ID. We started off with the usual “walk me through your résumé” where

Berkeley / Haas Interview Report: Round 1 / Second-year Student / On-Campus
The following Berkeley / Haas interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! I applied to Haas in the 1st round. I thought the interview went really well. I could get a good sense that the school was concerned with fit…more so than other interviews I did. Overall, the tone was informal and quite conversational. It didn’t seem scripted. The interviewer didn’t read questions from script but did take notes. I’m guessing with admissions season in full swing; this was not the interviewer’s first session. The interviewer did have a copy of my résumé.

Berkeley / Haas Interview Report: Round 2 / First-year student / on-campus
The following Berkeley / Haas interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! This was a highly conversational interview. The interviewer was engaging and seemed genuinely interested in the process. She had a copy of my résumé, though it was not necessarily ‘blind’ according to Berkeley’s own website. Standard questions: • Walk me through your résumé? • Clarification of goals • Why Haas? Why MBA? • How would you contribute to the community? There weren’t (nor would there be for you) any surprises, other

Stanford MBA Interview Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Off-campus
The following Stanford MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. I met with my alumni interviewer at a public place – the environment was relaxed and casual. I emailed my interviewer my résumé beforehand per Stanford’s instructions. I also printed out a copy – which was much appreciated by my interviewer. My interviewer was an older alum – that’s probably why I had a non-standard behavioral interview. I didn’t get asked many questions such as “tell me about a time when you led a team/had a conflict/etc.” Instead, I got asked: 1. Many

Dartmouth / Tuck Interview Report: Round 1 / Second Year Student / On-campus
The following Dartmouth / Tuck interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 Applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! Hello! Long time viewer, first time I get a chance to contribute. I interviewed in Hanover, NH in the first round, and believe it or not, I got in! With that said, it was a great opportunity to see the campus and meet with students. I interviewed with a second year on-campus. I guess they do this if the Adcom is booked, busy, or interviewing other candidates. I was nervous about this, because I thought an Adcom member would have more

MIT Sloan Interview Report: Round 2 / Adcom / On-Campus
The following MIT Sloan interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview was very conversational – we jumped around a lot talking about my past experiences and my plans at school inside and outside of the classroom. While I was telling stories, I would often get stopped and asked a very probing question about how I reacted/felt about a certain thing. The interviewer had mentioned that they had just viewed the optional submission (I included a 1-minute video). I was asked first about the interview essay. We talked about this for

Dartmouth / Tuck Interview Report: Round 3 / Second-year Student / On-campus
The following Dartmouth / Tuck interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 3 Applicant. Good luck to them! There were many people on my interview day in either a morning or afternoon interview time slot. The morning was spent chatting with other candidates and taking a tour, as well as sitting in on a class. The interview itself was with a second-year and very laid back and straight forward. I had plenty of time to ask my own questions and I did not feel rushed at all. I was asked about my background and why I wanted to apply to Tuck,

Dartmouth / Tuck Interview Report: Early Action / Second-Year Student / Skype
The following Dartmouth / Tuck interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by an Early Action Round Applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! I opted to take a chance and not interview on campus. I received an email that I was selected for a interview (since Tuck doesn’t grant everyone an interview if you don’t go in-person). I couldn’t make it to campus prior to the deadline, so I was able to schedule it via Skype. It was scheduled to be a 30 minute Skype Interview. I prepped using previous Clear Admit Interview Reports, and that worked perfectly.

There were about 20 people interviewing in my time slot that day. We all chatted prior to the interview but didn’t know who would be in which group. 35-minute team based discussion started with 1 min for everyone in the group to go around and say their idea. Three member panel…consisting of one member from their ad-com, one alumnus and one alumna. The interview lasted 35 minutes and was conducted at the ITC Hotel in Mumbai. The panel had access to my application. The alumna asked most of the questions and smiled during the interview. The alumnus did most of the interrupting/probing and frowned throughout the interview. 1) Why MBA? 2) Take me through your career progression and mention key highlights 3) What
