Wharton MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Student / On Campus
I did my interview on campus on Tuesday. I was able to do the campus tour and class visit on Monday – it was very enjoyable. The students and staff were very welcoming, and I got to confirm a lot of the reasons for which I chose to apply to the school. The interviewer was friendly – she started with an introduction about herself. She then asked me to walk her through the professional section of my resume. I just gave a little background to explain why I chose to work in that field and then went into the details

Stanford GSB MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Alum / Off Campus
I scheduled a breakfast meeting with a GSB alumnus this past Friday. Being that I had to drive 2 hours to get to the interview location, my interviewer might have been more flexible that usual when it comes to the meeting duration. It lasted for a little more than an hour and I was the one who did most of the talk. I did get 10 minutes or so to ask about his experience. Walk me through your resume. As I chose to start from my upbringing, he immediately asked how it affected as a person. The interviewer did interrupt

NYU / Stern MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / On Campus / Adcom
I interviewed on campus, and luckily, because I attended their Discover Stern Weekend I had been previously introduced to the interviewer. That gave me the option to meet one professor, attend a mock class, several students, and view Stern in both an academic and social setting. I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone from the tri-state area take advantage of all similar opportunities before your interview, since I was able to use these experiences in the ‘why stern’ question. You just seem lazy if you don’t (as told to me from current students). Here are some questions I was asked: How

UCLA / Anderson MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 1 / Second-year Student / On Campus
Round 1; Interview Date: 11/29/11; Result: Admitted I interviewed with a student on campus. The interview was surprisingly very informal with a current 2nd year student who asked very basic / expected questions. Tell me about yourself. Walk me through your resume. Why UCLA Anderson? Tell me about an experience working in a team. If you were on a team at Anderson, what skills would you bring to the table and what would you shy away from? Do you have any questions for me? UCLA / Anderson MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 1 / Second-year Student / On Campus
The interview took exactly 30 minutes. The interviewer was very pleasant and friendly. Overall, it was laid back and low pressure. None of the questions I was asked were out of the ordinary. Here is a list of some of the questions I was asked: Tell me about yourself. Handful of questions about different things from my resume (nothing unexpected). What are your short-term and long-term career goals? Why MBA? Why Anderson? How do you define success? Tell me about a leadership experience you’ve had at work. Cornell / Johnson MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Off Campus (Skype) / Adcom
My interview was via Skype — because of snow, I was unable to make it to campus as planned. The interview itself was quite formal — very much question-answer, but the interviewer did make an effort to transition nicely from one question to the next. There were no surprises for me, but I was glad I had done a little research on Skype interviews beforehand because it was definitely a little off-putting. Questions: Before we get started, tell me something about yourself that isn’t on your resume Walk me through your employment history and why you make the changes that

My interview was conversational and flowed pretty well. The adcom originally tried calling me on Skype, but we had audio issues so we resorted to a standard phone interview. Duke / Fuqua MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / On Campus / Second-year student
I interviewed with a second year student at Fuqua. There were about seven other interviewees waiting in the admissions office when I got there. Current students also came in and out throughout my time there to answer any last minute questions applicants had. The interview was very casual, and lasted about 35 minutes. The interviewer started by telling me about her background, and then asked me to walk her through my resume. She didn’t ask follow up questions at that time, but did reference some things I mentioned later during the interview. After reviewing my resume, she asked me to

Duke / Fuqua MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / Second-year Student / On-Campus
Interview was with a second-year student on campus at Fuqua’s main facility. He assured me before the interview even started that it was going to be very conversational, mentioning that he had been in my shoes just two years earlier. The interview certainly went that way as it turned into much more of a conversation than anything else, as question responses that I gave often led to tangents that dug into both of our backgrounds/experiences. I don’t recall all of the questions he asked (he would take the pre-written list and modify them as he saw fit to better get

Duke / Fuqua MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 2 / On Campus
I interviewed at Fuqua on Feb. 25, 2012 The interview lasted about an hour and was a mix of conversation and having to come back to answering the list of questions the interviewer had to ask. We made some chit chat about how my visit was going before “officially” starting the interview. Questions: Why MBA? Why now? Why Duke? Coming from a non-traditional background how do I think I will handle the rigor of the program? (weird questions considering i have an engineering degree) How would you handle a team member who was not carrying his weight? – What if
