Columbia Business School Announces New M.S. in Business Analytics Degree
Columbia Business School (CBS), together with Columbia Engineering, yesterday announced a new full-time Master of Science in Business Analytics degree. Distinct from CBS’s MBA degree, the new program features a three-semester curriculum and is really geared toward students who want to learn the modeling techniques and data science tools that help businesses use data to influence decision making. Top Tuck 2017 Employment Stat Takeaways: Salaries Up, Tech Growing, West Beckons
Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business today became the latest leading business school to share details from its Class of 2017 MBA Employment Report, revealing an all-time high average first-year base salary and signing bonus of $158,194. To get there, the mean base salary climbed to $127,986 from last year’s $123,934, and the mean signing bonus increased 4 percent to $30,208. The median salary and signing bonus, meanwhile, remained constant year over year, at $125,000 and $25,000 respectively. NYU Stern Receives $8 Million Alumni Gift to Promote Technology, Business, and Innovation
This week, NYU Stern School of Business announced the development of a new center to serve as a hub for cross-disciplinary collaboration and technology innovation. The new Fubon Center for Technology, Business, and Innovation was made possible thanks to an $8 million donation from alumnus Richard Ming-Hsing Tsai (MBA ’81). Real Humans of the Chicago Booth MBA Class of 2019
The 582 students in the Chicago Booth MBA Class of 2019 boast a chart-topping average GMAT score of 730—marking the 15th consecutive year of increases—and an average undergraduate GPA of 3.6. Beyond brainy, this class is also diverse, hailing from 57 different countries. U.S. minorities make up 27 percent of the class (down two percentage points over the year before), international students comprise 36 percent (up two percent), and women account for 40 percent (down two percent). UT Rotman Promotes Financial Innovation with New Hub
Thanks to a recently announced partnership, the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management will be able to offer new initiatives for students and faculty in the area of financial innovation. Latest Georgetown McDonough Employment Stats Reveal Increasing Salaries, Strong Finance and Consulting Placements
No surprise: Georgetown MBAs are making bank! Latest Kellogg Employment Statistics Reveal Rising Interest in Tech
A record one in four—25 percent—of graduates from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management Class of 2017 headed off into jobs in the technology field, according to the school’s most recent employment report, released earlier this month. That’s up from 22 percent last year and just 15 percent the year before and echoes a trend at many leading business schools this year. Career Services Director Q&A: NYU Stern Assistant Dean of Career Services Beth Briggs
NYU Stern School of Business earlier this month shared highlights from its Class of 2017 MBA Employment Report, revealing that Amazon hired more Stern graduates than any other company. The official profile for the Class of 2019 at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management reveals some interesting things about the students who, as of late this past summer, have called Evanston, Illinois, home. Amazon Talks About Its Success and Recruiting at LBS
It's not that surprising to hear about Seattle-based Amazon recruiting from top U.S. MBA programs such as the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, where it was the number-one recruiter in 2016, hiring 31 of the school's MBA grads. What might be more surprising is the fact that Amazon is also a big recruiter at London Business School (LBS), where it snapped up 13 Class of 2016 MBA graduates, right behind BCG, McKinsey, and Bain.
