Bloomberg Businessweek B-School Rankings 2024-2025 Key Takeaways
Graduating students, recent alumni, and companies that recruit MBAs weigh in via survey to form Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2024-2025 Best B-Schools ranking. Top business schools globally are sorted by region, with assessments of programs spanning the U.S., Europe, Asia-Pacific region, and Canada through a rigorous analysis of data and survey responses. This year, the ranking covers 111 full-time MBA programs. To qualify, programs had to be taught primarily in English and meet a minimum threshold of survey response rates. Bloomberg Businessweek surveyed 5,292 students, 9,222 alumni, and 734employers, and also considered compensation and employment data to determine schools’

LinkedIn Ranking Expands to 100 Full-Time MBA Programs for Career Growth 2024
The LinkedIn ranking goes global this year, as their list of full-time MBA programs expands from its inaugural 50 U.S.-based schools to 100 with the inclusion of international business schools in 2024. Like last year, the ranking is based on job placement (hiring rate and labor market demand), career advancement, network growth and strength, leadership potential, and gender diversity. Eligibility criteria required accreditation by AACSB or EQUIS, a full-time program structure, and a minimum of 1,500 alumni. U.S. News 2024 Online MBA Rankings: Indiana University–Bloomington Takes the Top Spot
U.S. News & World Report has released its 2024 Best Online Programs rankings, including online MBA programs. Emerging from a tie for first place last year, Indiana University’s Kelley Direct Online MBA program now stands alone as the #1 online MBA in this year’s ranking. Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper Online Hybrid MBA program jumped from fifth to second. There is a three-way tie for third among UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA@UNC Online MBA program, USC Marshall Online MBA program and the University of Washington Foster Hybrid MBA program.

The Financial Times (FT) released its rankings of the 100 best Global MBA programs for 2023. Harvard Business School tops The Economist’s 2022 full-time MBA ranking, as more business schools elected to participate again. Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2021-22 Best B-Schools ranks the top business schools globally by region, charting assessments of programs in the US, Europe, Asia, and Canada through a rigorous analysis of data and survey responses. The ranking covers 119 MBA programs. To qualify, all programs had to be taught primarily in English. The rankings are based on 19,955 surveys from students, recruiters, and alumni, in addition to compensation and employment data. The top four ranked US schools have retained their positions since the 2019-20 rankings. The Stanford Graduate School of Business retook the top spot, scoring a 100 overall.

Many of the top 10 U.S. schools opted out of the ranking this year to focus on the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this, more than half the rankings are U.S. programs. Harvard Reclaims Top Spot in Financial Times 2020 Global MBA Rankings
The Financial Times released their 2020 Global MBA rankings this week. Harvard Business School reclaimed the #1 position—after a four-year absence from the top spot. Wharton also surpassed last year’s top seed (Stanford GSB) to land in second place. Stanford GSB, which has held the top position for several years, fell to third in the Global MBA rankings. Bloomberg Businessweek Ranks Best Business Schools in the U.S. 2019-2020
Stanford Graduate School of Business is the two-time, back-to-back top ranking program of the Bloomberg Businessweek Best B-School list for U.S. programs. While the meteoric rise of Dartmouth / Tuck from 19th to 2nd may seem jarring, they are no stranger to the top 10 and had landed in 7th in 2017. Harvard Business School held steady in third (though they were #1 in 2017). Chicago Booth and UVA / Darden round out the top five, as Booth inched up a slot this year and Darden jumped 4 spots. Conversely, each school in positions six through 10 have fallen in the ranking. The Wharton School dropped 4 spots to #6 and MIT / Sloan slipped from fourth to seventh. UC Berkeley Haas fell from 6 last year to 8 this one. Columbia Business School and Northwestern Kellogg rounded out the top 10, each pushed back 2 spots from last year.

The Economist Releases 2019 Best MBA Rankings
The Economist has released their 2019 best MBA rankings for full-time programs. The University of Chicago Booth School of Business claimed the top spot once again, and the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management was replaced by Harvard Business School for second place.
