Undecided. International candidate (neither US nor EU), interested in pm/strategy/operation roles in tech (Amazon, FB, etc.) w/o prior experience in these roles (startups&VC funds attorney).
Worried about employment rate for internationals in both places, US (H1B/H4 regime) &London (pre brexit). Only finding a rewarding job afterwards guides me.

anon48766 Likes Earned: 1 If you go to LBS, you'll only have to move once-- there's a thriving tech scene in London, both start-ups and the big guys you mention (Amazon etc). If you go to Ross, you'll have to move again as there isn't a tech scene there. Knowing you have a family, I'd go for stability and exposure, and head to LBS. Good luck! (0)

anon59416 Likes Earned: 0 To find the job after LBS with Brexit is extremely hard. A couple of my friends graduated this year and could not secure any job without work permit and was forced to go back to home country. So, from this point of view US is a bit more friendly. (0)

anon59416 Likes Earned: 0 anon68896 That’s very hard to believe I do have friends in Amazon here in London and they do confirm that hiring policy had changed a for non-UK applicants. Also, it’s well known among industries here incl IB, hedge funds, fmcg etc not to hire non-UK. Policy has changed even for EU citizens - less likely be hired. I know three non-UK person with outstanding work background who will graduate this year and none of them found job in Amazon and other companies. Moreover, they weren’t able to secure internships after first year. All of them from different industries, but all very disappointed with LBS not being helpful and don’t care on their post MBA job. Also, guys from Amazon graduated a couple years ago told me that majority of graduates lended job not of their dreams, but just to be able to pay off debt. So with all respect, but hardly believable to what you said about LBS. (0)

I’m confident anyone you contact will respond within the week, and some of us will also be at the April admit weekend. Also, reach out to your region’s MBA program manager and ask to be put in touch with LBS students or alum who joined Amazon from your region - program managers love to spark such relationships.
