Notes:

I was admitted to Michigan ($40K), Yale (60K), WashU Olin (Full Ride), ASU WP Carey (Full Ride). My goal is to go into MBB or Kearney and Oliver Wyman. I have to pay the deposit for one of these programs soon. Which school will give me a better chance for MBB? I also was waitlisted at Booth and Stanford.

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1698 Yale SOM might have a slight edge on Ross, but I’d check their employment reports regarding consulting overall. While the full-rides might be tempting, they may limit your access to MBB. Both Booth and Stanford would further increase access. (0)

Per Alex’s comment, there is a pretty big gap between the likes of Yale and Ross vs. Olin and ASU - in terms of selectivity/caliber of students, reach of alumni network, quality of faculty, and much more.

In addition, MBB aren’t really recruiting at Olin and ASU (these aren’t ’focus schools’ for those firms).

Finally, it’s actually quite rare to see someone with this much of an extreme spread of target schools in terms of ranking - from Stanford to ASU - especially given how great your numbers are. What was the rationale?

I’d plan to join Ross or Yale, and play the WLs at Booth and Stanford in the interim.
