ORM international, choosing between McCombs & Tepper ($30K extra). Post-MBA Goals: 1st preference is Tech PM and 2nd preference is consulting.
McCombs culture and city is definitely better but Carnegie Mellon University is much better-known back home considering that I may want to return in 5-7 years.

bridge_ric2 Likes Earned: 31 OP here - I'm an architect with a fair amount of leadership experience as part of my family business and as the co-founder of an online D2C business that is doing alright. While I do have transferable skills for PM, I'm aware that recruiting for tech PM is difficult enough for those with a computer science background, never mind mine. That being said, I'd like to go to a school where even the non-management consulting/non-tech recruiting goes ok just in case I strike out of both consulting and tech. (0)

eliot Verified User. Likes Earned: 1920 Congrats on your acceptances and scholarships to McCombs, Tepper and Goizueta. You mentioned that you are deciding between McCombs and Tepper. Both are very good MBA programs with a good track record for Tech PM. If you personally prefer McCombs, then feel free to select McCombs. Meaning, 6-7 years from now you will have some other big brands on your resume when you return home. I agree that Tepper likely has a larger international brand and better consulting placements, but feel free to select McCombs if that is your preferred school.
