Notes:

I got into Tuck in round-1 and Cornell in round-2. No scholarship from Tuck but I was informed that they have put me on a scholarship waitlist at Cornell. Definitely leaning towards Tuck over Cornell. Also, I was waitlisted at Sloan and Kellogg, will work to convert them to an admit. What are others thoughts on this?

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1676 Really push for your waitlist, for sure. Tuck might have the stronger brand, overall, of your current options, but it's close. I'd examine their career reports, closely. (1)

anon11857 Likes Earned: 222 I'd say Tuck for sure over Johnson, and if you get into Kellogg then you could have a tough choice. Sloan is easily better than Tuck, Kellogg and Johnson so definitely aim for that. (3)

anon20155 Likes Earned: 145 I was admitted to these two schools (tuck/johnson) and waitlisted at one of the ones you were too--I would opt for Tuck between those two but it'll come down to fit/personal preference for you mostly. Definitely push for Sloan (and Kellogg as well) as those are a big step up, in my opinion, for tech. (1)

anon97226 Likes Earned: 66 I agree Tuck over Cornell from a brand/resources standpoint. Kellogg and Sloan are definitely a notch ahead though and are worth fighting for! I don't know if I agree with anon11857's "sloan is easily better than Kellogg", but either option would definitely be considered at that next Tier. Try to personalize your application while you're on WL. Send adcom a couple of pictures of you repping Kellogg/Northwestern in Chicago, or MIT in Boston. I think a lot of people think "I need to have another bigwig write an endorsement", but it's the little/personal things that resonate with an admissions committee member. Something to think about! Don't want to overdo it, but definitely a way to separate yourself from others. What do you have to lose? (1)

anon11857 Likes Earned: 222 For technology, I don't see how anyone would turn down Sloan for Kellogg/Tuck/Johnson unless it was for money or fit. If OP were going for consulting, for example, then Kellogg/Tuck would be mostly on the same level. (1)

I have been listening to the podcast since the start. It's been very helpful, thank you! I have decided to enroll at Tuck and I am working hard to push the waitlist and convert them to an admit. Any thoughts on the best way I can do that? (4)
