UT is my first choice but I received full rides to Georgetown and Rice. Hard to turn down that kind of money... any advice?

grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1227 Where do you want to work (geographically) in the long-term? Which firms are you targeting? I'm not so sure this is an obvious call; all three schools are good/have different strengths. From a rankings standpoint, UT Austin is a notch ahead AND has great access to tech giants in the Austin area... Georgetown's proximity to Amazon HQ2 may also be worth considering...but all of this depends on where you want to be/which firms you target. Best of luck!

anon12901 Likes Earned: 5 This is a tough one and will largely depend on where you want to be geographically. You can't go wrong with Rice (if you want to remain in Texas), UT will get you places for tech and is a slight notch above the others, but if you want to be on the east coast I think it becomes more of a peer with Gtown. Congrats on the admits and $ from all three! (0)

anon57602 Likes Earned: 0 I’m in the exact same situation you are with UT/Rice - same $$$ amounts and UT has been my top choice. It’s definitely hard and I don’t have any advice, but I can relate at least. (0)
