Notes:

Very happy with results, all great schools! Background: engineering bachelor, 7y WE, mostly corp. finance. Postmba: consulting (MBB). Long-term: entrepreneurship. Going with wife, we intend on staying on the US. Leaning to Kellogg and Yale, will be visiting next week. What u guys think? Ps: tough to pass up on $, specially going with wife.

Anonymous Likes Earned: 0 Haha I love how everyone just thinks that you can get MBB going to any top 20 school. It's not even guaranteed if you go to HBS. It largely depends on how well you interview (both how polished you are and how well you do on the case). Kellogg will give you the best chance at MBB. It's going to be difficult from any of the other schools on your list (including Yale). Maybe in 10 years, SOM will become a pier of Kellogg's, but it's just not there yet. I understand that money is a factor, but UNC and USC are just not going to provide you with the same opportunities as Kellogg. (1)

Anonymous Likes Earned: 0 Kellogg and Fuqua place very well in consulting... If cost is an issue I would go for UNC or USC (in those choose based on location and fit) (0)

Anon Likes Earned: 0 If you have the chops for MBB, Yale and Kellogg will get you there. While I agree that Yale is t Kellogg's peer just yet, they know place extremely at MBB, record numbers for the class of 2017. (0)

Any Likes Earned: 0 Just in case you are thinking of money - scholarships. UNC is a pure college town. You may have to live in Raleigh to just be within somewhat manageable distance of 'humanity'. Otherwise, USC will be great. Saying this specifically because you are moving with wife and in Brazil, you have be used to be among people - many people. Of cousre, Kellogg gives you that, but ONLY IF you are considereing money. (0)

Anonymous Likes Earned: 0 if you can finance SOM, that's the clear pick for MBB. Otherwise, USC looks good to me. It's also worth pointing out that you and your wife will be much happier living in LA than NC... (0)

Anonymous Likes Earned: 0 Kellogg's ranking is 4. Also, for consulting? Kellogg >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Yale. Really no brainer. Kellogg's new fantastic building will even boost up the ranking. I dont know why many talk about Yale. (1)

Anonymous Likes Earned: 0 If you go for the money, I think for couples you'll be better of at USC. However, if you are between Yale and Kellogg, both will give you a good chance of getting an internship at MBB. So, professionally and academically you'll be fine in either. My real advise is to let your wife decide between Yale and Kellogg. The last thing you want is an unhappy partner over these 2 years (trust me). In both Kellogg and Yale, a good percentage of alumni goes with partners, talk to them while visiting. I understand that Yale offers partners the possibility of taking courses in any of Yale's school, so, for example, if your wife is an architect, she can sit classes in the school of architecture. Anon Likes Earned: 0 I'd be debt averse if I were an international student. No guarantee you'll end up staying here. Thousands of people go back home each year when they can't land a visa or find an employer to sponsor them. Good luck but be cautious. (0)

Anonymous Likes Earned: 0 Yale is best for international students, and much cheaper than a city like Chicago or LA. Ross is also a great program for international and for MBB. Can't go wrong with either, but those would be my top 2. (0)
