Austin scholarship at Kellogg that gives 130k USD plus provides networking opportunities and exclusive mentorship from two Kellogg’s professors, one of them is a partner at MM PE firm in Chicago

Anonymous Likes Earned: 0 At Wharton’s admit weekend, they said their peers were Harvard, Stanford, and Booth. They said they were the most prestigious because Wharton is so 19th century. At Booth’s admit weekend they said they are the most academic MBA in the world, they have the most Nobel faculty giants, and they had the 2nd most $ in the world. At Kellogg’s admit weekend they said they had the most glass and energy efficient lights. 130 is like 165+ pretax. Invest that and buy a small island in retirement (hyperbole, but the above is all true). (0)

Anon - Booth Likes Earned: 0 I accepted a similar offer from Booth (fellowship, full scholarship, etc.) over a very large scholarship from Wharton. In my opinion, you would be making a big mistake going to Wharton in this situation. 1) PE recruiting is more about your pre-MBA work experience. 2) That is a lot of debt going with Wharton when you factor in taxes and the interest you would be paying on loans to finance your MBA. 3) At Wharton, you are going to be one in the 800+ student class. With this offer from Kellogg, you will be one of a select few people in your program getting special attention and resources and building special relationships. This is a no-brainer (0)
