I'm currently trying to decide between Tuck, Fuqua and McCombs.

I live in Austin, so my decision to attend McCombs will primarily be fueled by wanting to stay in the same city.

I really don't know what to choose between Fuqua and Tuck, they're both good schools, I've visited both campuses and spoken to students but I'm still not sure.

eliot Verified User. Likes Earned: 2002 Congrats on your acceptances to Tuck ($50k), Fuqua ($52k), McDonough ($15k) and McCombs ($20k). Well done. A few questions for you to consider. Do you have a strong geographic preference for where you want to work post MBA? For example, if your main preference is to continue to live and work in Texas, then McCombs would be a logical option. Having said that, if your main goal is to maximiize your chances of MBB consulting placement and you are more open to working in MBB outside of Texas, then Tuck or Fuqua would make sense since they have a better track record for MBB placement than McCombs. As to Tuck vs Fuqua - they are both great MBA programs. Do you have a personal or geographic preference between these two programs? (1)

eliot Verified User. Likes Earned: 2002 Thanks for your reply. Given your interest in moving to Chicago post MBA, we can review the Midwest placement stats for these two programs. Among MBA Class of 2024 graduates seeking employment and accepting jobs, 27 (9.7%) of Fuqua grads and 15 (7%) of Tuck grads accepted jobs in the Midwest. So it appears that Fuqua has a slight edge on this metric. (2)
