eliot Verified User. Likes Earned: 1902 Congrats on your acceptances to Tuck ($90k), Ross ($60k), Kellogg ($20k) and Yale SOM. Tuck with a $90k scholarship sounds quite compelling. Tuck is a great school with a strong community, great MBB job placement and you get a $90k scholarship. Meaning, Tuck actually has a great network and reputation. (1)

anon10646 Likes Earned: 783 Tuck does not have the network size of Kellogg, but I've found Tuck's network engagement to be pretty strong. Purely anecdotal and not consulting/strategy recruiting, but I missed out on a non-core seat at an bank and one of my main contacts was a Tuck alum. They asked me what else they could do to help and where else I was interviewing, so they reached out to another Tuck alum I had spoken with at another bank and put in a good word, which in turn likely got me an interview. And I'm not even at Tuck. Obviously size of networks are important (so you have potential contacts across locations/industry/companies), but really engagement is just as, if not more important. You only need a few to respond to get traction going and the difference in outcomes can be on how active they are and act as advocates on your behalf. Re: Tuck v Kellogg, depend on what Strategy roles you're looking at, but Tuck places nearly as well into MBB as Kellogg and will be much cheaper. If there are no culture/fit issues with Tuck, it would be a better value in getting your goals and location. (2)
