eliot Verified User. Likes Earned: 2016 Congrats on your acceptances and scholarships to Kenan-Flagler ($100k) and Anderson ($20k). Both are great MBA programs with solid IB job placement. For example, looking at the Investment Banking job acceptances in the Class of 2024 employment reports, Anderson placed 21 (10%) into IB while Kenan Flagler placed 16 (9.5%) into IB. One big difference is the Kenan Flagler tends to place graduates on the East Coast while Anderson places more graduates on the West Coast. The other big difference is the $80,000 price difference. In summary, Kenan Flagler with a full ride sounds like a compelling all-around option, particularly if you are willing to explore IB jobs on the East Coast. Of course, as part of your due diligence, I do encourage you to visit both schools and chat with current students. (0)

anon10646 Likes Earned: 857 Depends on your risk tolerance and where you want to be post-MBA. Anderson and KF have similar IB stats, but experiences and placement outcomes will differ. Anderson you'll have a higher ceiling on placement as they place decently into higher tier banks in their California offices and some NY offices of banks that start their new hires at NYC. However, LA has a bit of a falloff as it has quite a strong EB offices, but after a couple decent full-service and MM banks, it falls off. SF will be a bit better, but quite a few LA/SF offices that used to take juniors have switched to just NYC. Anderson may have a slightly better alternative if you strike out on IB. KF places a lot into CLT based on recruiting on KF I saw once from my bank, less so into NYC. Places like Wells, BoA, Jefferies have a strong CLT presence, but less so EBs. Also since financial svs and IB is KF's primary recruiting, if you strike out on IB, there alternatives may be less appealing. (1)
