Chicago Booth MBA Admissions Interview Questions: Round 1 / Alum / Off-Campus

I interviewed with a Booth alumni (Class of 08) off campus in my local city (DC). We met at a local Coffee shop. He started off by giving me a quick run down of the process, and a little bit about himself.

Specific questions he asked

  1. Tell me about yourself
  2. Why Booth, Why Now, Why MBA
  3. Tell me about a time you lead a team and had to resolve a conflict
  4. What is your leadership style, and how do you function when you are not a leader in a team
  5. Tell me about your extra-curriculars

Initially he said it would only take 30-45 minutes, but we had so much in common (we work in the same industry) we ended up talking for over an hour and a half. I prepared by reading this wiki and really studying my resume and essays. He inquired about little things here and there if he wanted more information and took alot of notes…It was very conversational, and he was very nice…
